Skul,
You've posted that clip about fifty times. I finally watched it after about 10 times and it doesn't even say what you think it does. You could have a job at Faux.

Exactly. Several of us have explained that clip to him the other 50 times he's posted it and he STILL doesn't get it.

Skul, get some new material. You're getting as stale as Dawgs with his "gov tit/cyber troll" references in every post.

Sorry, guys but if you believe the labor numbers posted by the BLS......

hmmmmmm.....

It is all smoke and mirrors. The only people benefiting from this 'recovery' are the uber-rich and the banks.

But, they can only continue to inflate this balloon so long before it <POPS!>

Yes we can!

Yes, Yes, Yes we can!

Yes, Yes, Yes we can!

Yes, Yes, Yes we can!

Yes, Yes, Yes we can!

Since your the resident accountant

Would you care to explain from a statisitical standpoint how is it possible to add only 36,000 jobs in Jan dropped unemployment rates from 9.4 to 9.0--and appears 192,000 dropped it from 9.0 to 8.9

If you have no idea--I'd be glad to assist.
I'll check in tomorrow morning to see how your doing.

This is just killing you, isn't it?

Thats not an answer--that's a kurby and :wall:

What's killing me is an accountant can actually think 36,000 jobs will really drop unemployment from fro 9.4 to 9.0.
Doesn't something look just a "little" funny to you :)

I'll give you answer tomorrow if you fail to figure it out.

DTB:
I think this is what you were looking for...

at face value, sure the # looks good....but......

Yes, the unemployment rate dipped again to a 22-month low of 8.9% from 9.0% in January and the nearby high of 9.8% in November. This reflected a 250k rise in Household employment ? the third increase in a row ? and a flat participation rate.
However, a couple of behind-the-scene facts: from October to February, an epic 700k people have left the work force. If you actually adjust for the fact that the labor force participation rate(64.2%)has plunged this cycle to a 27-year low the unemployment would be sitting at 12% today. Moreover the employment-to-population ratio ? the so-called ?employment rate? ? stagnated in February at 58.4% and is actually lower now than it was last fall when ?double dip? was the flavor du jour.

I could get into hours worked as well as wages but at that point, it would feel like I am beating a dead horse.

As usual, Dawgs believes the BLS figures when they support his views but doesn't believe them when they don't. Just like the CBO numbers he cherry-picks or chooses to ignore, depending on whether they support his views.

It gets me so excited when doggie dogshit thinks he is teaching us something new. It really makes you realize how valuable real teachers are to society.

You Didnt answer my question

I Didn't??
--I thought I made direct reply to what was killing me--go back I highlighted it for you.

Now since you've had ample time ( to answer question) and no answer --appears you need some help--

As most logical thinking people were aware it is impossible for 36,000 jobs to even remotely put a dent in unemployment as we need 1.1 million a year to keep pace.

So if jobs added didn't change employment figures what did--three little words

LABOR FORCE PARTICIPATION--LFP
eg: you lower # of people that have give up looking for jobs or even those on "extended benefits (2 years) are not counted even though they are collecting benefits. These will also give you 2 totally diff # of stats on # of people unemployed--you have unemployed and those gov count as unemployed.

If you look below the bold headlines of drive by media wants to project you will often find the more interesting notes hid at bottom.

http://www.npr.org/2011/02/24/134021429/new-unemployment-claims-dip-signaling-job-growth
New Unemployment Claims Dip, Signaling Job Growth

The number of people receiving benefits also fell sharply to 3.79 million, the smallest total since October 2008.

That doesn't include millions of people enrolled in emergency unemployment benefit programs funded by the federal government. Another 4.45 million unemployed workers received benefits under the extended programs during the week ending Feb. 5, the latest data available. All told, about 9.2 million people were on the benefit rolls that week, 90,000 fewer than the previous week-
:SIB

For those who -as article says--scratch your head when you see #'s that make no sense--you'll find this article informative--

http://www.dailyfinance.com/story/careers/real-unemployment-number/19833935/

++++++++++++++++++++++++++
For those of you with your "yes we can/:00hour -- after your admin spends almost a trillion dollars in middle of night behind closed doors with open bribes--to keep unemployment under 8%--
--but instead produced worst employment # since records were kept-until you were booted out in mass in 2010--

--you can carry on-- :)

On the course!
This is why I don't like politico. It's ALL bullshit.

Hey, DTB? If your chart accounted for welfare bums, and it seems it doesn't......Unemployment would probably be at about 25%.
