seem to be a lot of people on New Mexico, but with their only offensive weapon Moore injured, I see no way the new mexico passing game can hang with Utah's #1 scoring offence.

BUT- I don't follow either two of these teams particularly, so I am wondering if I am missing something? I know New Mexico has a "great"(?) defence, but I don't see that they have faced an opponent even close to Utah's capability.

My lean is to Utah -9.5, but may pass if I don't see more backers.
Any opinion would be appreciated. Be back later with my play.

Really think the side is too close to call.

I'm leaning to the under in this game which means the final will probably be 84-82.

I took new mexico +10.5. I think utah will win but not cover. Utah is a great team but New Mexico is tough at home beating texas tech and almost beating wash st.

I think NM's o-line can control the clock in this game, which means Utah has to make big plays offensively to push the score up. NM's Defense sports 6 seniors, who've beat Utah twice, so I really don't think Utah lights the scoreboard up tonight in Albuqurque. Last yr Utah found out they couldn't handle NM's O-line in the 2h. I also think there's a mismatch on the outside with NM's WR's at 6-4 and 6-2 and a 6-5 TE. Utah has small corners at 5-10 159 lbs.

Love the home dog tonight and I'll tease them to 17 and under 55.5.

I agree that new Mexicos Oline is a force...would not be so hesitant if I knew they had their star running back completely healthy...they're gonna need all the points they can get

Right now looking at a teaser:
New Mexico +16
Un 54.5

I have Utah -9.5 1x

Going to be tough, but looking for a close game where revenge minded Utes cover the number with a big offensive play/plays in the 4th Quarter. Have a lot of faith in Urban.

Last year the Lobos killed them running and that is their only chance tonight I think. The Lobos passing efficency is very low I believe it is in the 90% compared to Alex Smith's 180%. If the Utes come out and plug the gaps and get the Lobos down fast the lobos don't have the fire power to get out of a big hole. I'm not laying any money on this one it's too close for me. I'm a season ticket holder to the Utes and I have to be honest I think they are every bit as good as a 14th ranking but I also believe the Lobos are tough they aren't crap like other Mountain West teams (i.e. UNLV). Large point spread and the unknown about the Lobos are scaring me from pulling the trigger.

Utah v. New Mexico

Utah v. New Mexico

Although the Utes saw their perfect string of red zone scores come to an end against Air Force last Saturday, they are still incredibly productive inside the 20, scoring on 19 of 20 attempts (95%). Eighteen of those were touchdowns, for a 90% TD rate. Complete offensive and defensive red zone statistics can be found on page 4 of this release.

Utah leads the MWC in total offense (463.5 ypg), scoring offense (40.25 ppg) and pass efficiency offense (179.99). The Utes are ranked No. 4 in pass efficiency offense, No. 11 in the nation in scoring offense and No. 16 in total offense. Utah is also ranked No. 2 in the league and No. 24 in the nation in rushing offense (208.50 ypg) and No. 4/26 in passing offense (255.0 ypg).

Utah leads its opponents in pass efficiency by a hefty 187.64-121.19 margin ? The Utes are converting 49% of their third down attempts (24-49). Opponents are converting on 40% (27-67) ? The Utes are manhandling teams in the first and second quarters, out-scoring opponents 44-10 and 62-17, respectively. It?s all tied up in the fourth, though, 21-21 ? Utah?s offense is balanced, with the rushing game putting up 208.5 ypg and the passing game contributing 255.0 ypg. Opponents are at 157.8 ypg and 221.0 ypg, respectively ? Utah has 10 sacks this year to its opponents? 5 ? The Utes lead the league and rank ninth nationally
in turnover margin (1.75).
