Dude, you haven't left Canada in 15 years, let alone been to Vegas in that amount of time. :mj07:And, no, the place is not bustling with people in the Sportsbook. Again, see point 1.0 above. Granted, they have biggest TV's to watch, but that is about it. Oh yeah, and ARROW stays there each time, and the comped Japanese steakhouse dinner for my family was great. :toast:

This is hilarious. :142smilie

REALLY GUYS

REALLY GUYS

You cannot give an accurate account on Westgate unless you have been there in the last three years. Penguin you haven't because if you had you would know that they cannot smoke there any more. Second the new owners spent a couple hundred million dollars on updates. Third how can you call the best two suites offered in Vegas a dump. I know because i stayed in them this past trip. The cost per night is 20,000 and 15,000 per night and they come with two butlers, a chef and everything you would ever want and were spectacular. I haven't paid for a drink or meal there in 12 years, they have a beautiful golf course right across the street, Hilton country club, always pristine. The host has been there for 40 years, and they comp me about anything i want every trip including clothes, cigars and alcohol. I have taken many madjacker's there to eat at the steak house and Benihana's and have never had a complaint. They have single and double deck blackjack up to 10,000 a hand and they will take sport bets up to 1500 without a supervisor having to ok it. It's not for everyone, but it has been good enough for me for the past 20 years.

Lots of phones left in the bathroom too. Some people actually set them down to wipe and forget.

I'm guilty of this, and when I went back to get it (after I noticed my Beats stopped working cuz the signal was too far away) there was a guy in there replicating my efforts and I had to wait outside the stall for 10 minutes....got the phone back tho...

Go to the Chart House in the Golden Nugget for a great seafood meal

The only place I visit regularly on the Strip is Holsteins in the Aria (I get the Greek burger)....I don't go to the Strip to Eat because it is usually overpriced and underwhelming.

The Westgate is cool, old school for sure. I watched the first round of March Madness there (think Loyola Chicago buzzer beater)...It is ok, not spectacular. The VIP section is great (I get that treatment cuz my buddy writes the gambling section for the Review Journal) and I've met Jay Kornagay a couple times. Very cool guy and loves the Broncos so that makes him special....

Enjoy the rest of your stay, glad the wind has died down it has been brutal for a couple weeks....

Took my brother in law to Westgate Superbook. last September. I've never been there either but went NFL Sunday. It was awesome, No smoking in sportsbook but they have a glass enclosed room to the right where I went for a smoke. It's not the Wynn or Cosmo but it was my favourite place to watch sports. To each their own.

They put a couple hundred million into to Westgate? It seems like it should be nicer.
