OK, the last time The TPC at The Canyons was used for a Tour event was the 1999 Las Vegas Senior Classic when two courses were used for the first two days. Scoring averages from the first two days in 1999 were:

Summerlin: 73.32
The Canyons: 73.93


It would appear from this small sample that The Canyons and Southern Hills should play about the same even though The Canyons is a par-71 and that the easiest of the three course should be Summerlin.

Last hole bogie by Henry and birdie by Kendall turn 1 shot lead into 1 shot loss.
Thought we had a long one. In the other two matches above at long odds both matches pushed.Will be interesting what WSEX puts up tomorrow.

Henry having poor tourney also but Calc putting horrendous hitting every green but 1 yesterday and going 1 under with 34 putts.Part of the putts came with his driver however after Xing his putter.

Update:

Two of the six plays are decided at the cut, but only one is a winner. Funk beat Jones by four shots, while Mediate lost to Daly by fourteen shots. Indeed, it looks like Daly will be ensuring a losing week in the matchups. He leads Howell by five shots and Leonard by eight with 36 holes to play. In the other matches, Triplett leads Henry by three shots and trails McCarron by seven. In the outrights, Mediate missed the cut and Sutherland languishes in 53rd place, so it remains with Love to deliver a profitable event.

Poor tournament or rather a poor week to oppose Daly! Apart from beating Mediate at the cut, he beat Howell by five shots and Leonard by nine. In the remaining plays, Triplett beat Henry by eight shots but lost to McCarron by eleven.

Update on outright plays: 1-2 and -0.75 units

Love even held on the lead on the final nine, but he had always played too many holes in this birdie-fest and finished 4th for a place win at least. Sutherland finished 38th and Mediate missed the cut.
