What is that "+3" thing on the table?

No clue what that is, some gimmick side game.

Woodson, it's part of that side game. Nobody at my table used it. I never bothered to ask.

Usually it's a 3 card poker side game. Use your first two up cards and the dealer up card to make a hand. If you get a straight or a flush average pay 9-1. A straight flush might pay more... can't remember. Anyway, fun to play once in awhile but typically a loser if you play it every hand. I've seen people play that spot heavier than their BJ hand... kinda crazy.

Related Story: Often others at the table will ask to play your spot. If you agree then they give you the money to place on spot to keep things kosher. The rub is if it's a winner you have the option of being a complete ass and keeping the money. This happened at some regional casino I was at and subsequently they stopped allowing people to bet other's spots.

Recap: had a good afternoon with Feelgood and Dead Money at the Ravens sportsbar. Never met DM before and he's as good a guy you'd want to meet. Our kinda people.

Last night after VP decided it wasn't going to be treating me well I decided to play BJ.

Played for about 6 hours with the same 2 guys and had a lot of fun. Lost at the beginning and bought back in and got ahead. Big swings with my final average bet over the 6 hours being $200 a hand with my progressive betting system. In the end I walked back to my room with my tail between my legs. But, on the bright side, I did have a lot of fun and laughs and got a decent rating.

+1000 for the trip.

Today Dead Money is picking me up at 2:00 and driving downtown to check in to MSS.

AT 5:00 we're meeting Feelgood at Pizza Rock (see DM's review in the Vegas forum) and most likely smurph will be there as well. Gonna eat and watch MNF drinking craft beers and playing VP.

I'll try to post a lot of picks today but if my battery runs low I'll add them late tonight or tomorrow morning.

2 full days of DT activities.
