This is terrible. Never interacted directly with her that I can recall. But I was always impressed by the way she was "just one of the guys", but still entirely feminine and motherly.

No small task in my mind.

She will be missed here and in many other places I'm sure.

Broncobabe and I also had the pleasure to meet Bahama Mama at the 2007 SuperBowl party and she was very vibrant and warm. She had a great sense of humor and we'll be sad knowing she won't be around. We'll miss you Mama, God bless .

Mama made it to every single Superbowl party, even if it was for only one day in and next day back home. She loved having fun in Vegas.

Very sad to hear this. Got to interact with her here and a bit over FB with homework and stuff. She was a sweet person. Her avator should be retired here. She's the only person who comes to mind when I see that Bears bobblehead.

Hadn't been on the computer for about 4 days and I come back to see this.

Ditto. Wow. I had the pleasure of meeting her at at least 4 SB parties and she was a a fun loving woman who always was the life of the party. I'm very sorry for her natural family and for her MJ's family.

I hope her family finds comfort in knowing Mama is so highly thought of and will be fondly remembered. I thought about her this past weekend just out of the blue and wondered to myself why she doesn't hardly post anymore. This hits you like a cold brick. I hope there's a heaven, Mama, and I hope it's a place where it will be 1985 every day.

This is truly saddening news. I will keep Mama and her family in my prayers. She was and is a very respected member of this community and will continue to be one.

In honor of Mama, a recognition is in order.

Similar to baseball's wearing of a honored player number, can we all use her avatar on the day she is put to rest?

Not certain how difficult this could be but would be a kind gesture.

RIP Mamma.

I'm honored to switch now.

Great idea Woody.

If you want me to wait until the funeral day, just let me know.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
she was so much fun at the SB parties!

she was so much fun at the SB parties!

We always anticipated her arrival. But she also, with those kids as you can imagine, a strong and sensible woman too. Gave me good serious advice on a few occasions...Boy, will miss her...

from Superbowl Sunday, 2007:

Here she is with Jack, sharing a laugh

As usual, ImFeklhr has the sentiment nailed - I echo these thoughts, having not communicated with her personally.

Would be interested in how to help the kids out, for sure, in some small way.
