He probably had less than a hundred bucks in his account anyway. Any serious bettor knows better than to do anything like that. I wouldn't waste anymore time posting about it.

It was this statement that I found to be the most comical. Let this be a lesson to some and a reminder to all.

Liked the Vikes to win, but you never know what the hell is going to happen. Dallas gave Tb all they wanted, Phil gave STL all they wanted and KC , and Clev, and even Chicago for a while. Going into tonight , only 2 favs lost today, NE and Minn. Only 2 favs lost in college yesterday also, but how many favs covered. Everyday you do this stuff you learn something. The other day SD vs Ariz, they damn near get no hit twice in one week, bam , they beat RJ. There are never any sure things, and I hope we all can learn this. Just about the time I feel that something is a nut, bam, I get run over by a truck. I still have the tread marks on my forehead to prove it

I have learned my lesson, no more "entire account" plays anymore. I felt like Lennox Lewis waking up from the canvas, asking my trainers what the hell just happened, as they tell me that Rakman just floored me. That loss was like a punch in the gut, u know how you feel queesy and nauseated and just plain sick, i just needed time to let that feeling pass, now it has passed, most of it anyways. Losing money don't feel good, but not being able to have action in a game feels worst. Don't feel like watching with no money on it. Atleast I'll have more time to work out or even re-start my old hobby of painting. I know, I'll start smoking...nah!!

I know the feeling exactly. Last year I made and incredible run. I started with $40 bucks and ran it up to $3000. I played a few four teamers and two teamers and hit. When I got to around $500 I played 6 point teasers which were even and hit and hit and eventually I was at 3,000. So, I said one more time I will let it ride to 6,000 and I will cash out and use it to buy a boat. I played a two team 6 pt teaser for 3,000 and I needed to win the Tampa Bay game against the New York Jets last year straight up. I thought I had the game wrapped up. The game hit the two minute warning and I was up by 2 tds. I went to take a shower thinking I had won and was feeling very good. To my shock when I got out of the shower I just caught the highlight of the jets doing the halfback pass. I could not believe it. It just shows you that anything can happen in sports. Usually when you make that huge play something fluke happens against you. Hey the way I looked at it was it was only fourty bucks.

Lets get real people, heh heh, like I was responsible or jinx Minny losing that game, ya right, that's soooo funny. Maybe I'll talk about how Denver can never lose against the giants, which I don't see how they can playing at home, but how about this "Denver will win, no way they are losing against the lame giants".....oh I guess the Giants will end up winning cause I just jinxed the Broncos!!!!

I know, why don't I hype a game every week so you guys can pick the opposite team!!! Like I have more universal powers than the players in the game that I can actually dictate or jinx the outcome,,,,,oohhh plleeeaaassee people!!! Lets not get ridiculous

I'm probably the only person that will actually side with 'hello there' on this one, but if you are a small player who is not trying to make your income from sportsbetting, I don't think that there is anything wrong with betting your entire account, or a huge percentage of your bankroll on a single play. Most of you guys/girls recommend playing ~2.5% of your bank roll. So if you start with only $500, this would mean wagering $12.50 on each game. Sure, over the long haul, you might end up winning some money by doing that. But if you played 100 games and won 60%, you'd still only make $200. Percentage wise, it all makes sense. But in the real world, you can make $200 in an afternoon of work. So in essence, if your bankroll is part of your 'entertainment' budget, why not throw down heavy on a certain game or games? Give up the golf tournament one week and take that $100 to put on a game. Sure it's 20% of your bank, but it's not like losing the farm if you bet 20% of a huge bankroll.

As an aside, and not directed towards anyone who has posted in this thread, but some people must remember that handicapping is a skill. A player who has that skill and only bets $5 a game is no less important to this forum than the player who bets $5000/game. If the small time player hits a higher percentage, s/he is helping the rest of the forum out more than the high roller who only showboats his winnings by putting a dollar sign on it. Again, by no means is this directed to anyone in particular, but just a reminder as some people get trashed here because others feel they don't bet enough each game..... insight is insight and knowledge is knowledge, regardless.

I agree that people who put $5 on a game are just as important as anyone else. This was probably a small loss for him monetarily to be able to joke about it but some people who look at these posts might think this must be some great play if a capper is putting "Betting My Whole Account" in his subject and says he has never lost one. His post may actually persuade others to play his picks and they may not be able to laugh it off as easily as him when they do lose.
