On the subject of match bets....

There is never a price on the tie, so is it money back with ALL these US sportsbooks if the players finish level?

I assume it must be at GCS, as I had Sluman to beat Lickliter last week and my stake was returned (thanks to a last hole bogey from Frank).

Weather-disrupted event shortened to 54 holes, so very thankful to on the right side of most of matches in those circumstances. But none of them were really very close. The results: Bickerton/Lundberg 4 up; O'Malley/Campbell 9 down; Wessels/Hansen 3 up; Jacobson/Havret 7 up; Lawrie/Poulter 7 up; Lawrie/Scott 8 down; McGinley/Poulter 16 up; McGinley/Westwood 17 up; McGinley/Jacquelin 13 up

Update on outright plays: 0-3 and -3.00 units

Cancelled out the profitable matchup plays with a blank on the outrights. Monty gave up his top-5 position with a drive into the water on the last hole - he finished a shot out of a place finish in 7th place. Goosen was a shot further back in 10th, though O'Malley had a very poor event and finished 59th.

Great to see him win and see how genuinely happy he is at breaking that runners-up stretch!

Harrington deserved to win one.
However, it seems a poor end to a prestigious event. Yesterday the tournament director said "round the clubhouse the course is playable, but 3 greens most affected by wind make the course unplayable".

In horse-racing if a fence is frost-bound, waterlogged, etc. they doll it off and race over the others. Why didn't they play the other 15 holes? Spectators spend travel expenses and time to watch golf.. at least they could have seen 83% of the play. A 69 hole event. I have seen the same 54 hole event happen in the US with just one or two particularly waterlogged greens. Why not play what they can? Could make the bookies review a few rules...

What does anyone else think? ( am I the only one who backed Monty e/w ? Harrington backers cannot reply... conflict of interest!)
