Let's Eat - I allready put 10 units on Michgan...back on Monday. I watched the re-play on Fox sports when they Western Michigan...yea granted it isnt Notre Dame but the linebackers are sooo fast and that secondary impressed me so much. The offense is suspect but is getting to gel more and more.

I also did a parlay 20 units 2 teamer Mizzour -3 and Michigan -3.5

Wazzu--Thank you for your westcoast input on UCLA and USC..my lean on those games is the same as yours...
Let's Eat----dude..you are reacting to a response to a write-up by hellah....I read hellahs thoughts on MAC football too...however when he starts dropping F-bombs in his opinions about Ohio St.--in a thread where Superbook was simply asking for some input and thoughts......well...Hellah was way out of line and showed some of his true intellect.........
As for your opinions about conference comparisons...you seem to be VERY biased..the truth is that..ALL the major conferences are "tiered" IMO...and you know exactly who is going to be traditionally on the top of the Tier and Middle Tier..and bottom tier...then you have leagues like the MAC where in football and basketball there is tremendous parity (year in and year out) thru
out the league...when I think of the west coast ..I think of UCLA and USC mostly...then you have some upstarts in Washington, Oregon...Colorado...and so forth...BIG 12..who do you think of?
yes...Nebraska and Oklahoma....my point to Wazzu early in this thread was simply...when you play @ the major conferences TOP tier teams....you really need to play incredibly well in order to get the W...
Kiddie Korner--FYI..i'm not an OSU alum I went to a small private school in Ohio...but I have always agreed w/what Chuck Knoll (PITT) said
to Hollywood Henderson (Dallas) prior to a Super Bowl game.."sometimes empty barrel's rattle the loudest"....now you know how i read Hellahs posts....:)
good luck to all today...crib

Crib - - so true, so true........I guess when you read Hellah's posts you should do so after printing them out and take them to the bathroom where they can be flushed with the rest of the shit.

Good luck everyone and let's watch the Big 10 kick some ass today.

Teams that have Heismany trophy candidates don't lose and usually beat the spread because they have nothing to lose.

Tell that to Marshall and Byron Leftwich.

This game seems pretty even to me. I read that Wash St. has some players banged up. Clarette has yet to impress me running against Kent or Tech. If Ohio St. is forced to pass....they won't have a chance.

In the first 2 games Krenzel for Ohio State is 23 of 28 0for 308 yards. That's a completion rate of just over 80%. Arguably against some weak opponents. Not sure I have seenanything that shows that Ohio State doesn't have a passing game.

The key to this game will be the Ohio State defense. Everyone is touting Washington States defense. Don't sell Ohio State short on D. Their defensive line is big strong and fast. Iwouldn't be suprised to see Ohio State contain the run and which means that Gesser will start passing. He has a completion rate of just over 60% against Nevada and Idaho. Not exactly BCS candidates.

Should be fun to watch

As much as I dislike Ohio State they were the best team in the country in 1998. Tennessee can thank Clint Stoerner for their championship and Florida State w/out Weinke had no business being in the championship game. Even Steele has said Ohio State would've been a solid favorite over either of those two teams. As for them this year, they are loaded.

crib,
you're a little off calling UW an upstart! 7-3 last 10 Rose Bowl appearances -- when this used to be Big 10-Pac 10!

kidd's korner
pussies dont schedule big time roadies this early in the year. Pussies look for teams they can beat to come into their house! The Pac 10 has been @ Neb, Michigan & now OSU, MSU & Colorado. When your Big 10 teams stick their necks out early in the season then you might have someone believe in your perspective.

exactly.....

exactly.....

crib-??????????....dont know what youre chattering about by saying im "reacting to hellahs post".....only thread im RESPONDING TO,not reacting to, is kiddie korner's bullshit remark about the pac 10 crowds being pussies and that the conference is inferior to the big 10....well ill reiterate my statement that i made to him to you....husky stadium and autzen stadium are considered to be very tough crowds for oppenents to play against...just ask nick saban;) ....anyway about your claim of me being very biased.... ....thought i was being pretty fair....oh well....your entitled to your opinion....by the way, what do you consider "upstart"???....gl

For those of you who watched Ohio State dis-mantle Washington STate on both sides of the ball, Clarett is the real deal. A True freshman who runs like a Senior. He is impressive. Ran for 230 yards.

Ohio State's defense is really tough. Giving up only 7 points. Tressel has these guy's rolling.
