BTW, Jessica Lange lost a shit ton of her King Kong/Tootsie hotness!
35 years usually does that.

'The Gambler' comes up short by failing to go all in
By Mark Olsen
A remake of the James Caan movie? 8:5 it's a huge let down.
Oh come on! Gove it a chance. Hell half the guys here would be down with double or nothing on a few million.
Damn. Was hoping it was a good one. Was a bit disappointed.
?The Gambler? Review: Mark Wahlberg Folds Despite a Jackpot of a Supporting Cast

This new "Gambler" will no doubt be enjoyed more by those who never saw the original, written by James Toback and directed by Karel Reisz, and not just because the first movie's journey from New York to Vegas has now been downsized to a day-trip from L.A. to the Morongo Casino. Hollywood of four decades ago was more willing to bum out its audiences, to plunge into the depths of humanity without offering up any kind of respite; in 2014, neither casinos nor studio movies are what they used to be.
I know it's gonna be shit and I'll still watch but would never go to the theater to see it.
the theatre experience is really great..popcorn..extra large screen ..super sound
just a shame these movie moguls decided that repeat and blow shit up and $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ is better than great film making..
I can't name 20 great movies I have seen in the last 10 years.
I ain't paying 30 bucks for the wife and I to watch a $1.29 movie..
I can do that on the 70'' and start and restart plus check MJ's at home..
I see on an average of at least one movie a week at lunch time for $5.00. No popcorn or candy or pop, just a movie.
Must sees so far this Oscar seaon in my opinion are:
Birdman.........best movie
Whiplash...........jk simmons best supporting actor
Gone Girl
