Ocelot and Eddie, I really appreciate your responses but you are taking my comments way overboard. I don't want the government or school teaching religion to mine or anyone else's kids. That is not their job or responsibility. The schools are for the 3 R's and so on. I only meant like Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanzi, whatever, it doesn't matter. I do send my kids to a private catholic grammer school because I do want them to learn about God. I would never expect public schools to do that and I agree that is not the place for it. The majority of that should come from family itself. I think it is OK however to have a christmas tree in a school and allow children to be exposed to all the religious facets of our country that teach good and positive morals in a general sense. (I don't want to argue what is good or positive about every detail, but not killing and stealing and so on) I think each religion has something to offer. Unfortunately, religion is used by many people such as terrorists to hide behind. Beause they are cowards or gutless doesn't mean it is bad or should be pushed out of sight. I particularly like Ray's God on friday nights but that one doesn't belong in the schools. Ocelot, I understand what my tax dollars go towards and I agree with most of it, just not all like I'm sure you don't. :) Eddie, I love your sense of humor, you'll need it for tonights game with those guys. Have fun, wait till next year, I think we will take over the fourth place position in the league.

Ocelot, no problem, it is hard to convey everything through typing into a computer the way I would like. Reading is a differnet story. :)

Now I'm getting scared. Chuckie and I are in agreement on something. Looks like their ice skating in hell. I think you've thrown the gauntlet down on my reds any your bucko's, matey. Ain't no way, no how, that hapless baseball team of yours will beat out my Redlegs in 05.

Obviously, I'm kidding. Our two pathetic franchises are so bad I'm thinking of following the WNBA next summer. I mean when you think about it, this year the Reds opening day pitcher was Jimmy Haynes. Yes, the Jimmy Haynes.

The Reds are so bad, people around here are actually looking forward to the Bengals season. Oh well, at least both of our towns have good high school football on Friday nights. For those interested, little Eddie's 8th grade team beat Reading yesterday 38-6. No scores for junior but he caught a pass.

Being raised Catholic myself PF, I attended catholic schools all the way up to attending the University of Cincinnati. I liked the education I received and I also appreciated the morals taught. I'm glad my parents sent me there and feel as though I received a good education.

I would like a moral man in the white house. If he is religous, fine. If not, thats fine too as long as he can be a good, wise leader of this country. Morality is not my number one criteria for the white house though. It may be for the papacy but not DC. Hence, my appreciation of the amoral President Clinton.

Good leader, bad morals. Look for me on TV tonight. I'll be the guy with the impeach Bush tee shirt on sitting next to the buxom blonde in the green sequin blouse who will be giggling nonstop.

Worst part is I'm not even from Pittsburgh, live in upstate NY. Started following them in 71 when WS was on in the afternoon. Orioles had 4 20 game winners and were a big favorite so I started rooting for the underdog and stuck with them ever since. I'm such an idiot. :cursin: If I see the blonde in green, I probably won't see you. Have a good time anyhow. Short beer lines sounds good anywhere.

Great post PF - agree wholeheartedly about the school / religion issue. I was also raised Catholic and went to Catholic school thru 9th grade.

Eddie, also completely agree with your statements about what kind of person (could soon be a woman you know) should occupy Oval Office.

O:

If there is a woman in the white house, I definitely want here immoral. Paris for Prez? That little slut has my vote. Her election would give a whole new meaning to political terms such as state of the union and withdrawal of our troops.

We need a christian President in the White House for the next 4 years. Supreme Court Judges will be retiring and Bush will place Christian judges on that court as they retire. Don't be fooled by this fellow named Kerry. He will do everything in his power to see that your constitutional rights are dismantled and deleted. This election will shape the future of America. VOTE BUSH!!!!!!!!

HHmmmm. Nothin' like Bushy boy tryin to change the constitution to make same sex marriages illegal?
Oh!!...You're talking about different constitutional rights!!...Silly me!
Sorry, carry on! ;)

PS> I'd vote for Paris if Nicki would be her running mate....She's heaps better on the eye!
