Aldo had to strip naked also
Faber told him afterwards in interview
"You want that belt? NO WAY JOSE"

I will be going big on the Cowboy. I'm praying the judges aren't Fuking blind to sub attempts like the last fight. Ben got all the credit for not getting choked out and Donald got no credit for doing the actual choking
Ben also started to gas out in their last fight.
This time, I expect Donald to finish the chokes he started in the last fight.
I think he may have underestimated Ben the last time and that shouldn't be the case this time.

Medium play on Faber at +295. Aldo is a wrecking machine but lets see how he deals with Faber on the ground.
Little Nog has a chandelier for a chin and he took Aldo into the second round. Maybe Faber can improve on this and take Aldo to the later rounds and test his gas tank???

Small bet on Manny to beat Brown. I got the odds at +565. Manny might be the only guy who is as strong as Brown in this weight class, he has leg locks from hell and Brown looked like complete dogshit against Aldo in his last fight so who knows how he feels mentally.

Good luck all!!! :toast:

I agree with weepaul, Brainiac, and layinwood

I told myself if Faber hit +300 I would throw down on him, and he is now there
Faber in Sacramento - he will make this a fight
He has a better chance than these odds

I felt this way a year ago when Darchinyan was +250 against Mijares
and that worked out

odds to good to pass up

My bets:

STRAIGHT
Faber
Korean Zombie

PARLAY
Hornbuckle (winner)
Mendes
Pettis

PARLAY
Jorgensen
Mendes
Pettis

Record since start of 09 30-20 +30.14 units

Opinions 2-2 +1.95(always .5 unit plays)

Faber +280 1unit

Opinion

Cerrone -120 .5unit

I would make Cerrone a bigger play but I'm worried he will spend too much time on his back.

Faber has a chance. GW said Faber dominated when the pool of fighters wasn't as strong but I'm not convinced with Aldo and the guys he has beaten. One of the pro fighters made the statement that Brown wasn't in a good frame of mind going into his fight with Aldo. I don't know if he was or wasn't but I never felt like he was better than Faber, especially after their last fight. I have two concerns with this fight. One is Aldo's power and speed and the other is his takedown defense vs Brown looked very good. If Faber tries and can't get him down then it could be a long fight. I also worry a little that we might see Faber's standup is not good at all. I hope that's not the case but I do worry a little about it.

Brown wasn't himself in the fight with Aldo , I don't know if he came scared into the cage but thats not how he fights . Then he just gives up his back and gets pounded out .
Could easily turn out into Bowles vs Cruz type of fight where the champ is overrated by bookies cuz of few impressive showings . I believe like 8 out of 9 underdogs have cashed in WEC's big fights , some of them well into + 200 range like Benavidez over Torres , Bowles over Torres and Cruz over Bowles .
I don't think Faber will be fooling around here , maybe he can take Aldo down early and test his ground game + cardio .

he had some stitches he was worried about, he said after the fight he didn't want to be there. He was not comfortable.

Faber seems like a good shot at +245

Lets get this thing rolling.
I am liking the favs for the most part:

Parlay:
Brandon Visher over Toner
Mike Brown over Manny
200 wins 118
I just don't see either of these two guys losing. Toner is way outclassed here and Brown should take care of Manny.

If that parlay hits then I get a free play on the Cowboy and I will play it now:

Straight play:
Donald Cerrone(-117) over Henderson for 117 to win 100.
-- Like Weepaul said, I think Cowboy can adjust and either finish or do enough to get the decision this time. Not sure Henderson can correct much from the first fight.

Also trying this parlay:
Mizugaki over Yahya
Shane Roller over Njokuani
Aldo over Faber
60 wins 180

I think Roller can and will submit Njokuani. I think Mizugaki is just better than Yahya. And Aldo will beat down Faber.

I know very little about these fighters. I'm hoping I can find a stream to watch this tonight.

A lot of love for Korean Zombie ... is he so much better than Takaya who got nailed by Garcia in around 2 minutes
I hate Garcia and he is a bum but Korean Zombie hasn't faced anybody with power who can make him pay for the poor defense of his .
Those WEC cards are full of bad beats , people will go for broke to secure a spot on the next card and some extra money from bonuses and we pay for this with the lost wagers sometimes :142smilie

i`m beginning to have second thoughts about the korean...i`m reading he`s wild and undisciplined...and garcia is huge at the weight...

i think garcia`s crap, but he can take your head off if you`re careless....

grabbed the korean at +115 at 5 dimes earlier...think i`ll take garcia at even money at brobury and assure a few dollars in the kick(and i`m serious when i say a few....about a 6 pack)...

i`m gonna sit back and relax...some compelling fights both on the main and undercards...

g.l.,gents..

Korean is wide open to get hit , looks good for people who enjoy brawls and bum fights but Garcia is a big dude with big power and he doesn't mind to brawl . His reach is solid and Zombie is there to be hit , Garcia's cardio might not even come into play . Takaya has serious power and he got starched quick by Garcia .

I am on Korean Zombie tonight
