Solid card IMO. I really wish would could see somoene take Aldo to the ground. The only reason I want this to happen is to see what he can do on the ground. I hope they don't waste this kid, the LW division in the UFC could use him. I would love to see him light Maynard up with his speed. Edgar wouldn't have prayer against him(IMO).

That manny Brown fight, although Manny won he had his chin out there just begging to get hit. This couuld get ugly. Manny isn't the smartest fighter out there.

hominick opened as a dog...now he`s -190 at 5 dimes...

still like him(or more to the point, dislike garcia)....just avoid the wild strikes, take garcia down and sub him...

probably look to par him with varner and/or zoila frausto...

also a small nod to ratcliff at +120..

actually,i`m just gonna lay the -190....that`s probably too steep....

just not thrilled with garcia`s lack of discipline...frausto and varner are tough fights...

Was not quick enough to get him as a dog.

Don't really like -190 line. Before the line was made I said if I can get in around -133 I would be happy. Don't think it will go that way now unless people jump on Garcia due to his exciting style. Not a fan of parlays maybe I will add this in with another fight - just to make Kick feel like he is not the only one that does these:0074

Thinking is that Homnick is the better striker by some distance and is good on his back

What do you guys think, who will win in Chan Sung Jung VS George Roop?

again, these odds seem steep...roop`s nothing special, but he gave garcia all he could handle..

if you fight garcia`s fight, anythng can happen..but he`s not knocking people out...

roop vs garcia....rbr

Round 1
R1 Garcia low kicks to open the action, but Roop shrugs it off. Roop is headhunting early on while Garcia keeps his attack focused on the legs of his lanky opponent. Roop shoots in and secures the takedown, Garcia establishes his guard right away. Garcia cinches a guillotine, but can?t get any leverage on the choke with Roop pushing his shoulder into his chest. Roop pulls his head free and works some ground-and-pound. Garcia escapes back to his feet after a short scramble and lands some good shots in the final minute of the first round. Sherdog.com scores the first round 10-9 for Roop on the strength of his work from the top.

Dave Mandel/Sherdog.com

George Roop vs. Leonard Garcia.Round 2
Garcia heads back downstairs to start the second, lowkicking Roop to the legs and then loudly to the body. Roop waves Garcia on after a nice right. Roop tries clinching but Garcia shrugs him off. Garcia is looking a bit winded ever since the failed guillotine in the first. Roop drives in for another takedown and plants Garcia along the cage. Roop keeps Garcia stacked to lessen the chances of a submission attempt from the bottom. He improves position and tries to knee to the body, but referee Kevin Mulhall mistakenly thought it was to the head and separated the fighters. He warned Roop and restarted the bout. Garcia, perhaps feeling a bit desperate, launched into a full offensive. He lands some nice shots but Roop answers back as the round closes. Sherdog.com scores round two 10-9 for Roop.

Round 3
Roop looks the fresher of the two as the final round gets underway. He pots shots Garcia with the jab and then lands a nice head-kick that is partially blocked by Garcia. Roop drives in and scores another double-leg takedown but Garcia finds his way back to his feet quickly. Garcia drills Roop with a nice right and follows with a knee along the cage but Roop retreats unscathed. Roop connects to the groin of Garcia and Mulhall decides to take a point. On the restart, Garcia attacks wildly with punches before Roop takes him down yet again. The two fighters scrap frantically as the seconds tick down. Big shots are landed but both fighters remain upright until the final bell. Sherdog.com scores the final round 9-9 with the point deduction.

The official scores are 29-27 for Roop, 29-27 for Garcia and 28-28 for a split draw.

garcia vs jung...rbr

Round 1
Jung starts the bout with a low kick to Garcia?s left leg. Garcia returns fire and connects with a low kick of his own following a missed right hook. Garcia connects as Jung jumps for a knee. All technique and skill is thrown out the window as the fighters open up and trade wild mindmills and backhands. Garcia gets the best of the sloppy exchange, but Jung is still right in the mix. Garcia tires and the pace slows a bit. Jung steps forward and drops Garcia with a right hook. Jung swarms to finish and Garcia locks on an armbar from the bottom in guard. Jung frees his arm and unloads with his right hand on Garcia?s noggin. Garcia stands and he?s busted up. Jung stays on him with his right hook. Jung connects with Garcia?s chin with two knees from the Thai plum.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jung
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Jung
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Jung

Round 2
Garcia jabs and absorbs a head kick. Garcia drops Jung to a knee with a right hand. Just like the first round, both men windmill for the fences and the crowd loves them for it. The pace slows after the fighters spend their energy and the fight ends up in a clinch against the fence. Trainer Greg Jackson yells for Garcia to knee. He?s too tired to react in time. The fight moves off the cage and Jung hops onto his opponent?s back while standing. Jung locks on a body triangle and Garcia still manages to reverse and stand. Garcia jumps into the air for a knee and Jung kicks his legs in mid air. Garcia is gassed, but he puts on a warface and fires a one-two that is blocked. Jung connects to the body and leg with two kicks. Jung scores with a knee and pours it on. Garcia is getting lit up against the cage and he loves it. He spits out his mouthpiece and smiles as Jung finds his chin with both hands. Garcia swings his way off the fence.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jung
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Jung
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Jung

Round 3
The men embrace in the center of the cage. Garcia jabs and keeps his distance early. He fires a head kick that is blocked. Garcia goes after the lead leg with two low kicks. They land, but not flush. Garcia is avoiding another slugfest and Jung is frustrated. He puts his hands on his hips and Garcia obliges him in a brief slugfest. Nothing lands clean. Jung continues his chase as Garcia backpeddles. Referee Jon Schorle tells the fighters it?s the final round and asks for action. Garcia lands a right hand and misses a head kick. Jung is tough as nails. He moves forward and opens fire. He lands with both hands and stumbles Garcia to the fence. Garcia feints with his right and connects with a right kick. All caution is thrown to the wind as Garcia windmills with his back to the fence. Jung answers and both fighters land. Large swelling is present on the left side of Garcia?s face.

Jordan Breen scores the round 10-9 Jung (30-27 Jung)
TJ De Santis scores the round 10-9 Jung (30-27 Jung)
Mike Fridley scores the round 10-9 Jung (30-27 Jung)

Leonard Garcia takes the split decision with scores of 29-28 (twice) and 29-28. The crowd boos the decision.

............................................

seems to me that roop has a shot...particularly at those odds....

garcia` seems to be very lucky,indeed...

Thank you Ghost! Seems like Jung was robbed badly in Garcia fight.
Jung should win this, one thing I don't understand why people keep betting on Roop.

I think the Zombie is gonna smash him and/or sub him. But, like you, I am surprised people keep betting Roop.

I'm just gonna wait for the line to go down more and bet on my man.

For the Roop fight take note of the size difference. Roop is 6 foot and Jung is 5"9. I think Jung will win and is the better fighter but Roop is tall and has good range. Plus the Garcia fight will give him confidence and proved that he belongs here

plus Jung is coming off a broken hand (I believe it was broken but I could be wrong) so you never know how that will affect him

the zhang experiment piques my interest...the guy`s listed at 163 on fight finder....garza 143....he fought in ult. fighter at 155....

zhang`s bigger...but the level of opposition is ?(you could sort of say the same for garza)...he hasn`t really beaten anybody of note...he has a height and reach advantage...

is dana looking to find an inroad to china?...tomas rios wrote that he thinks they`re throwing zhang a bone here.....

tough to say...lots of interesting subplots in this card...

Well in boxing hight is important but here I think more important who phisicaly stronger and on weight-in Jung looked stronger. Besides here is weights - Jung 146 Roop 145.Roop looked tall and fragile.
I still think Jung is going to win.
