Regardless... not impressed at all by Filho tonight...:nono: Would be 'killed' in the UFC... :)

Filho looked like he had the flu or sum shit. Just looked real weak

"the bunker"
not sure whether i feel more like the captain of the hindenburg or the exxon valdez......

and i feel lucky that we got filho in.... ..the parlay was big(for me anyway)...i thought filho was through after he caught that left hook 10 seconds into the fight...

matter of fact,i`ve never seen so many fights in on one card have so much happen so quickly...

let me say this in my own defense on the gandulla/swanson plays....you had 2 strikers submit guys roughly within the first minute of their fights...and neither guy is what you`d call a submission guru....pulver and the knuckle dragger submitting their opponents within a minute or so?....and filho getting basically knocked unconscious in the first 15 seconds?....

i obviously offended the mma gods...

gandulla had 2 chances to extract himself from marshall..and the first was maybe the worst attempt at a triangle choke i`ve ever seen in life....
gandulla`s obviously a knothead....

and, imo, pulver`s win was a fluke...pulver was coming off 2 pretty embarrassing losses...granted,penn is penn...and that kid from the ultimate fighter(lauzon)is gonna be very good....i figured pulver could knock swanson out...i never figured he`s submit him before mazzagatti had a chance to scratch his balls...

i still believe that pulver`s best days are behind him...and in a longer fight,he`s got real trouble...

if he fights swanson again,i`ll take the odds again..and at better odds to boot......

anybody that got hurt by those 2 unfortunate happenstances, you have my profound apoplogies...:mj17:

I figured Pulver woulda KO'd him, but the choke will do. Swanson is nowhere near experienced nor has faced the guys Pulver has.

Knew from talking to Jens before he left to go to Vegas for the fight that it was going to be about this easy for him last night. Just wished he'd have thrown a punch or two.
Pulver will smoke any of those jokers they put in front of him at 145 lbs. in this minor league they call the WEC. Jens talks all the time about how this was just a "lateral" move to the WEC, but if those fighters from last night were the best the WEC has to offer...:nono:

I thought it was perfect having Frank Mir as an announcer, too...:mj07:

Damn, the way I wrote this makes it sound as if I know Pulver. I don't. I ran into him, Spencer Fisher, Tim Sylvia and a few others from the Miletich camp at a autograph signing here in town a few weeks ago. I asked him about this fight, and he answered in the cocky way that MMA fighters do. Sorry if you misconstrued what it was I trying to say....

Weasel when Gandulla got the take down i thought you were on to something. That was pretty text book. I wish they outlaw that freakin arm bar it gets me way more times then it wins for me. If they fought again i would still take him. He looks like a solid fighter who just got caught. Been nice to see that one go a little longer to get a good look. He also is 39 In Cuban years. I don't think they have birth certificates over there. So that could be troubling

I don't believe they are. He's in a weight class that he shoulda been in all along. The only reason he even fought LW was because HE HAD TO. There really isn't many FW's around where you can make ANY money. Pulver said himself that he's always wanted to fight 145 but he couldn't because there's nowhere to make money doing it.

Pulver is gonna be a very good 145. If he fights this self promoting Swanson again, I wouldn't advice taking him.
