Rice +11 over Tx St **
More time I spend on this game less *'s go to Rice...still think Rice can keep it close..Tx is 5-1 coming off a great left coast trip...Tx will play tough man/man,share the ball on offence and use the clock..Pearson is out on the wing and Tre is at the 2 gd...post offense is avg..but think Bobcats play with a lot of intensity esp on defense..Rice has lost 4 games to tough teams,Wichta,BYU,Houston.. but they beat some weaker teams..they had 7 players transfer so this is a new team..they have a solid pt gd in Ako, Martin Parrish and Williams need to score .Martin and Williams are 6'6 and 6'8..they also have Peterson and Brown at 6'8 and 6'8...once the Owls get the ball inside the paint they shoot way over 50%..think they lead the nation in FG%...But can they get the ball inside..Tx will pressure the gds big time..last yr Tx beat Rice away 74-66...and Rices top player transferred ...the problem with Rice is they can't play defense...but they have been going against the big boys..maybe the tougher schedule has made them better...Bobcats don't have the Houston Wichita BYU offensive weapons..think Rice uses its inside strength ad keeps this game close...they have no bench or depth...last yr Rice lost 10 of their 1st 13 games..but Bobcats lost 9 of their last...looking forward to watching tonite..might make a halftime play depending on how the game is going...

Hofstra -9.5 over Siena ***
Hof has Foreman who leads the nation in scoring at 27 pts..Pemeberton avg 19 and I think he is the better player..Saints lost there top scorer in Richards..but have played better...Mihalich Hofs coach knows more about Siena then the Siena coach...think the Pride get a home double digit win and send their cousins back up the Hudson to Albany..

Rider +12.5 over West Vir ***
Rider is a good MAAC team...they have a great pt gd in Jordan who can handle the WV pressure defense.. Vaughn can score ..this is a talented team that could give WV problems . Allen,Scott and Marshall can score..they should win the MAAC but they have the worst coach in Baggett. If Marshall the 6'9 lefty can stay out of foul trouble WV could be in trouble.WV inside has Konate and a few others but they haven't replaced Carter and the gds..this game will be close as long as Baggett lets his kids play and he stays away...Huggy Bear could be in a fight tonite..

Ohio St -5 over Cuse **
Cuse needs to see there are other places on this earth that aren't in a dome.

South Dak St -16.5 over UMKC ****
Daum da Daum..Jenkins etc...UMKC can't play defense.they give up 80 pts a game..and SD scores 80 pts a game...SD has Daum inside,outside.. King a big time defender. Flatten who has played for 6 years is still eligible...how do you stop them all...you don't...+20 win

Thanks for all you do box. If you get a minute and have an opinion on the Brown/RI game I'd appreciate your thoughts

Big gay did capp that game last night and after about 20 minutes on that game my line came out URI -7 or -8..and the line became -7.5...I normally do hit the lines that good...couldn't see an advantage either way...lean towards URI but Hurley factor comes into play...URI has dominated the series and last yr won by +20.. Brown has Cambridge a bg time scorer..I don't do the Ivies very often..so have to pass...the visiting team doesn't travel very far...I do know something about Brown...a few years back we had our Valedictorian at my HS with high SAT's scores,4.0 grade point,never got under an A and perfect attendance for 4 years...and applied to Brown as her 1st choice...Columbia,Yale and Princeton were her other choices..She was put on a waiting list for Brown and got in the other 3 schools..wow...maybe their hoops team sucks but never realized their academic program was better then those others...
I myself applied to Brown back in the late 60"s...they didn't have a Phys Ed program so I went to North Texas State..lol

Old South just skip it I couldn't get reception and the half already started...was trying to put a halftime play in... game was pretty bad on both sides..sloppy all over.. Bobcats won despite not playing well.. Rice is terrible..its going to be a long season for them..
Jordan I didn't really make myself clear... I know Hurley is at UConn the Hurley factor I mentioned is the unknown..I don;t know the new coach..so I was trying to make a point..I didn't word it right..
