After coming up short each of the past two nights
in Arizona, dropping a pair of one run games, look
for the Reds to break through with a win tonight.
They have a promising young righthander in Matt
Belisle taking the mound. He looked sharp in his
first outing, allowing just one earned run in six
innings, following up on his two successful starts
in 2006 (0.93 ERA). Despite the two losses in this
series, Cincinnati was very profitable on the road
in night games vs. righthanders in '06 (+$1170)
while the D'Backs lost money vs. righthanders in
all settings (-$950). Micah Ownings looked good
in his first start, but it's hard not to take an
underdog price against him with a quality
pitcher and a very favorable setting.
