What did you hear about the halloween prank by Carroll throwing
the guy off the roof ? Only Reggie Bush knew about it.

Sounds like Carroll might have gone a little overboard on that one.

Any repercusions ?

Overboard??? What are you talking about? It was a prank. Do you think they players are going to revolt because of it?

Thanks for the great info, the public may not know what you know but they love WIS. 72 % on them at sports book. Not questioning your play but are you sure Bernstein and Cooper are out ?

To echo what bryan has said, you are on the public side big time here, so tough to say that the public cant see what is going on. I think it is quite clear here, and you are joe public on this one. Im pounding Penn State, I would go into further detail, but i know that you would not change your mind. My money is on the fact that you may realize this at the last second and at least downsize your play. Gl on the rest of your games for the weekend

Scott,

Where are you getting the info that the Dline was walk-ons? There's only one player that I see that posted stats last week that wasn't in the preseason 2-deep.

I don't give the public/non public side as much attention as others do on this site. Some worry way too much about it. If public is on Wisky, it won't bother me a bit. However, I think the public is or will be on PSU. My reasons for taking Wisconsin are prob. different than the public. You know my reasons. I have not seen anybody mention the info I have posted as to why they are taking Wisky. I am not guaranteeing a Wisky cover. I was 90% sure Kanasas was going to cover last week (+5.5) and 80% sure they were going to win SU (+200). They accomplished both and won 10 units off 9 unit wager. I would have played Kansas this big IF I didn't lost my big New Mexico ML wager that was bull$hit. NM cost me from winning over 40 units last week. :cursin:

I am going to search for my Wisconson ML wager now. Line I got was Wisky +10.5 and is now +11. So why is the money moving that way? Lets suppose you all are right that Wisky is the public play, then the line will soon be coming down. I'll lock up my Wisky ML wager NOW! Or maybe more bets on Wisky but big $$$ is going on PSU and I am perfectly fine with that. They don't know what I know.

Be right back in 5 min. with my play and more analysis.

Scott-You are a good capper.I see your lament about"why does this stuff always happen to me"about the unfortunate big CSU road comeback in your BIG PLAY on the MewMex/CSU game.If you really mean it,think over the wisdom of playing them all for the same amount.I bet you will win even more.GL with your plays this week.

Thanks for the advice, I do appreciate it. This year I would prob. be ahead $$$ if I capped my bets off at 8-10units etc. But that is not my style. I have won close to $100,000 profit using this agressive style. (well over 50k on posted wagers here at MJ's) I can't win huge every year and maybe the breaks are against me this season. You all know my reasons behind my plays. If I won my 2 big bets this year instead of losing, I be up over well over 60 units. Which is a lot since I personally bet large chunk for each unit. Just this year I lost the big bets. $hit happens! Next year I may win most of my big bets. :) I was down over 30 units on posted CFB plays and I stayed the course and won most of it back! :) After this weekend I might put myself right back at negative 30 units on posted plays! :mj07:

Scott ,wish You the best on your plays, the only reason I mentioned the public is because you mentioned it. If I had to go on this one it would be with You and Wis; but do You know for a certain that Bernstein and Cooper are in ?

I am confident Bernstein will play because he returned to practice yesterday. No official word on Cooper. LB M. Zalewski will play! I have some time so I'll type an additional write-up.

About the public. I like it when the public is against me but if the public is with me I don't really care. Doesn't have an impact on my decsion. I see other posters here get so worked up on which side the public is on. I think more $$$ are on PSU.

I'll regurgitate some of the stuff I said in my Wisconsin analysis in post #15. Key Badgers are returning to practice and very quietly Barry Alvarez's team is preparing to thump Penn State. What is going on in Madison is the direct opposite in Happy Valley where lots of hoopla, player quotes etc are hitting the national media everyday.

Mark Zalewski returned to practice yesterday along with FB Ross Bernstein who is an absolute crusher as a blocker. Remember, none of these key players have played in the last 7 weeks, and any and all stats in last 5 games aren't all that relevant to what will happen on Saturday because of personnel changes. Do you people realize Wisky was playing a 218 pound DE? It was a real mess and Wisky is a different team this Sat.

Barry Alvarez has imposed a quiet gag order and practices are closed. In Purdue and Illinois games, he used a total of 18 plays from 3 different offensive formations for both of the entire games. All Barry is saying, "The players understand it. It's just trying to relax them, enjoy the game, enjoy what it is, enjoy the experience, and just go play, see what happens." The media will not get one more thing out of him until after the game Saturday afternoon.

I am sitting with 13 units @ +10.5 and have added 1 unit on the ML @ +400 today. These are the type of games Barry seldom ever loses, but I am guaranteeing nothing.

Penn State's QB actually is a runningback, and until this season his completion % is 44%, currently he is barely above 50%, and if the Badgers keep their lanes, they will force him into turnovers (PSU has had zero TO's last 3 games).

Wisconsin has maybe the best punter in college FB, and the PSU return man fumbles as often as he fields a punt.

Penn States defensive line is excellent but I think Wisky OL can wear PSU down and exploit PSU's lack of depth. Badger OL is coming on especially tackles Joe Thomas who will be the best OL of many in the NFL someday(future first round draft choice)(Bucky currently have 20 OL in NFL, with-over 50% of them originally walkons, a tribute to Barry and his OL coach), and the other tackle Kraig Ubrick (also an original walkon) who has the unenviable job of handling PSU's best D-Lineman Tamba Hali. Wisconsin's guards are first year starters but have been in the Bucky program 5 years, and if Bernstein comes back TW we are in gravy because all we have to do is get Brian Calhoun out to the PSU linebackers and "the fun will begin". QB John Stocco is proving to be a solid QB and the Badger's skill WR's are head and shoulders above what is left at Penn State. PSU's WR Derrick Williams is a HUGE loss as he was their best deep threat. I'll take Wisky skill players in Williams, Orr, Daniels and Calhoun to throw at over anyone PSU throws out there.

As an added bonus, another injured Badger H-Back Owen Daniels has also returned to practice and is almost completely healthy and may play. I am more than content with my position. Once again Barry and his players are saying nothing the rest of the week, they will let their play on Saturday do the talking. When I look at this game, I keep asking myself how Wisky can win SU not how they can cover 10.5 pts.

Good luck!

Thanks, good stuff Scott. I have always had great fortune when taking Barry as a dog ,so I looked it up and the numbers are there. You are so right about his teams being well coached and there is little chance for implosions. Barry is 3-0 this yr, 15-5 L 20, and 12-3 as a dog of > 8pts. ALL /ATS.

scott-
I'm impressed with your passion for the wis/psu game. there are a few things you wrote I'm not quite sure of.first i have never heard barry impose a gag order in the 16 years he has been here.second there has been no talk of MATT bernstein playing as of today, although barry has been known to keep those things hush as long as possible. I don't have facts(yet) but i think your DL walk-on numbers are innaccurate. most of them are just young and inexperienced and the badgers only have 11 current OL in the NFL and one is a long sanpper. And I'm quite sure most of them were on scholarship. anyway GL with your badger plays, I hope you win them, but I would tread lightly.JMO

It is all quiet and business like in Madison for a reason. Bernstein will not only play but start on Sat. Barry has been pointing to this game all year. The team is ready.

Normally I dont agree with alot of your posts, BUT I do agree with your plays
And Wisky is one I didnt neede much convincing on but you swayed me to make it a huge play
As for guareentees, save em for Joe Willie, you are not a pyschic but this play seems really well reasoned and I am with you

Sorry if I missed it in your thread here, but what are your thoughts on USC/Stanford this weekend?? Seems like quite a bit to give a fairly solid (of late) Cardinal team?? Good luck on your Badgers pick.

Adding 5 more units Kansas +1 over Nebraska (7 units total)

Adding 2 units Texas Tech -15.5 over Texas A&M (betmill)

Just my 2 cents but Stanford might not be ready to play. You better be ready if you are playing @USC and it might be a sell out.

Stanford should have beat UCLA but they fawked up in the 4th quarter. A devastating loss. Now they must recover in less than a week to play @USC? TOUGH! USC can score quickly (duh) and if USC gets up on Stanford, I think they pack it in.

On the flip side, Pete Carroll is very good friends with Walt Harriss. Very good friends. Does he try and blowm him out? Carroll said this week he loves to play against coaches he knows and we all know what a competitior Carroll is. So I am not sure on this angle. First time both coaches meet.

As for X's and O's. I am not sure. I like the Stanford QB but I really don'thave a take on this game. I liked USC 1h against both Washington and WSU and both covered. This week I don't have a read on this game.

Good luck with your plays this weekend!
