been a chargers fan since late 70s w/Fouts n Coryell.. has never been an easy go, but I don't know if I've ever seen a team as un-ready to play a nat'l spotlight game as the bolts were tonight.. defensively in particular.. every play the raiders ran worked, guys were wide open..
Staley may learn from this, go bk to being a def coord or something and get another HC chance down the road eventually, he's young and must be bright (despite appearances) and hopefully he'll be resilient and understand the situation.. but he's gotta go.
I know Belichek could help their defense, but what Herbert needs is Sean Peyton to mold him into the top level QB he can become.
Not sure what's Kellen Moore's deal.. or if it's more a Staley issue, but Herbert hasn't been as good this year.. trying too hard maybe..
we'll see how things shake out I guess
for tonight's gm, I thought Stick's lack of "pocket awareness" combined w/some mediocre LT play led to some fumbles and ez scores.. not good.
but
I thought Stick showed some good touch with the ball and accuracy (threw the 1 a lil behind the DB, but he made a great catch!)
given some protection and Keenan coming bk they may be able to move the ball..
but ya gotta stop giving it away.. 4 fumbles lost, a pick 6.. and charger linemen were standing flat-footed watchg the raiders jump on em.
did the team give up on the coach tonight? I dunno..
emfuggnbarrassing is an understatement.
