Friend is a book and he is getting killed this year.. he has two partners and they are down 80k

And Joe P is all over KC tonight. I've been burned quite a few times betting against the Chiefs. More often than not, it's the damn refs that eff up the game with their blatant bias towards KC. The Chiefs 7-0 record is deceiving. They could easily have 2 or 3 losses. They aren't quite as good on offense this year. That is obvious. I get picking ATS against KC, but how the hell does anyone cap the refs??!!

not sure what's changed in the bookmaking bidness.
when I ran an office for a 'guy' just outside Reno (02-07), we had approx 300 players during fball season, 150-200 during hoops, 50-75 during mlb.
most players were just "regular guys", most wagers were 100-300 ea, had about 10-20 guys that 'might' play 500s, and a handful that might play 1-3k
never had 1 losing week during football.. not once. I swear. losing days occasionally happened, but weeks were always positive.
a small winning week DURING FBall season would be 30-60k.. we'd have a couple of those each season, almost exclusively early in season.
IF it was under 30k, boss wanted to meet and see if/where we did something wrong lol.. we didn't, but not ALL players lose every week.
boss spent most time in casinos, restaurants, strip clubs, it's good to be rich I guess.
a "normal" winning week would be 80-120k.. which were the most common.
a big week was 150+k, we'd usually get at least a handful of those, usually last 1/3 of season and playoffs/bowl season
a huge week was 200-235k, usually just once or twice per season, but 1 year had 3 in a row, also happened in last month or so of season.
we rarely moved off the line.. we tracked $$$, but even if we were getting buried, our rule was "put the line up". when we moved, it was half pt.
paid for line service from Don Best, got instantaneous updates to stay on top of the handful of "sharps" that might try to jump on a line move.
we didn't use vegas casinos for our lines, we used the caribbean.. CRIS, Pinnacle, and I can't think of others at the moment lol..
frggn sucks getting old eh?

so not sure how your friends operate their bidness, could times have changed so much players have advantage..??

nahhh...

This is fundamentally incorrect. If you think Joe public is on the chiefs laying 9 points on Monday night football you literally have no understanding of betting trends and markets.

Bucs tt over 17.5/7.5 6/6
Chiefs under 27.5 4x

Maybe the Chiefs are the 85 Bears with a better quarterback, but Bucs been putting up points, and they have nothing to lose tonight and know they have to score to have any shot... and they will keep throwing until the end.

I show 60% on the Chiefs and 68% on the over. I've been sports betting for over 30 years, dude.

I’ve been sports betting for 30 years too. Congratulations.

The chiefs are not a public side and haven’t been all year. This isn’t to say they are sole lock, but talking yourself into the bucs because you think it’s contrarian is way off base.
