Lennon,

just what dogface said.

3 meals and 3 little meals

usually i have a big breakfast, then an apple or orange with some pecans, then lunch, then workout, then i have a shake when i get home. later more snacks.. last a fairly good sized dinner.. no eating after 8!

as far as the short sprints..

it sure as hell worked for me.. but thats me, find what works for you...

good luck...

Beantown,

i know you like to act homophobic in hopes that we wont find out that your a co*k sucker... but the act is tired bro.. just be honest and say "im gay" youll feel much better..

ps. of course people will think your gay if your reading a mens health with your pants down and an erection..

gay magazine?? lol
every other article is about sex with chicks.. you probably wouldnt know that cause you wont read anything that doesnt TYPE IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS.

your a funny guy

To address what the Gib mentioned about the alternating between walking and sprinting etc...Reebok actually did a study on that and the sstem is designed to shock your system into thinking it was going to be heavily strained from the get go, and the mixture of endurance would use up fat stores first instead of metabolizing the simple sugars within your system from your diet. If I need to I can go more in depth, but basically if you run for a mile, or walk for a mile it has been determined that walking a mile will burn more fat (stores) than running as it is a more aerobic exercie and allows your body to go through the hard and slow process of breaking down fat for energy vs. running which for the most part in quick sprints etc, becomes anaerobic thus uses quciker easier fuels in the body.

Can you elaborate on this? Everything I have read on HIIT is positive, but it almost sounds like you are disagreeing with that?

Yelajakitz-

I believe you were referring this to me....I apologize as I was typing qucikly and some of my words may have been jumbled.

THe combination of short sprints. included with walking etc., is a tool to help burn fat stores. If I can finad c aopy of the study again I will post it (Gotta find the time to do it) but the outcomes were very positive that this did indeed work. I typically used this type of training on people that could not run well or for periods of time and were pretty overweight, that coupled with a little weight training and eating right did wonders.

So no disagreement from me, but you would have to be doing the system correctly for optimum benefits and I will try to find that as well.

Hope that answers your question...

Dogface,

Thanks, no need for the study. I have a good explanation of the program (high intensity interval training) in a magazine of mine.
