jack i haven't called them back i'm sure if i dont i wont be able to use wu any more no big deal. if i do call them should i tell them its for off shore gambling ? thanks
when they called me after an online purchase all they wanted to find out was the purchase was made by me. a few questions to verify it was a legitimate WU transaction and i was the guy that made the order.
i have had that happen but this was there compliance dept something to do w/ paper work they have to give govt . all my transactions have 300-700 dollars total of 8k . probaly to make sure i'm not funding some terrorist's .

My WU transactions would not go thru anymore. They said the compliance board has put a stop to my transactions because they were concerned about my activity. They said i had to call them or fax them over my name, address, birthdate, SS#, and who was i sending the money to, did i know the person i was sending money to, and what was the purpose of my transaction. I said fawk yall- all that info as far as address, phone # is on the WU transaction.
I just had someone else send money for me. I mean im not giving all that info to them that they wanted. Thats bull shit.

olympic said there were having problems with western union for deposits and withdrawals and are trying to suggest alternative methods now.

ST JOHN'S, Antigua: The leading global money transfer agency, Western Union, has reportedly suspended its operations in Antigua and Barbuda with effect from late Wednesday 4th January 2006.
Having been made aware of the apparent suspension, Government officials, led by the Ministry of Finance and Economy, have engaged representatives of British American Insurance Company Ltd., the franchise holder of Western Union in Antigua, in a series of meetings in an effort to verify and ascertain the reasons for the suspension of Western Union?s operations in Antigua and Barbuda.
Following these meetings and at the request of the government, Western Union?s Regional Manager Ms. Hazel Beckles, on Wednesday provided official notification to the Ministry of Finance and Economy confirming the temporary suspension of Western Union operations in Antigua and Barbuda.
She apologized for the delay in bringing the matter to the Government?s attention but assured that individual customers are being informed.
Ms Beckles also advised in her official communication to the government that the temporary suspension was due to the carrying out of a compliance audit by Western Union?s Head Office. It is anticipated that this audit will be completed by Thursday, 12 January 2006.
Having regard to the importance of the services provided by Western Union in Antigua and Barbuda, the government says it is hopeful that Western Union will resume normal operations next week.
