DTB: Bill Kratzert commented yesterday that Jim Furyk cracked the face on the driver he has used for many years, including his U.S. Open win, and is kind of searching for another one to replace it. Kratzert didn't say when the change occurred or when the search started.

Makes props tough as tight and firm fairways are main culprit this week--if lots of dew lingers in am it will make things tougher with wet rough--if not should play bit easier with greens tad softer however have not been that firm so far.
