Worth it?

Paying for better seats when going to a event. Otherwise, prefer to watch it on TV.

Not worth it?

Paying for pics. Oh wait, wrong website. :scared

Worth it:
-Lawn care: We pay $110 a month to our HOA and they cut the grass every 5 days, they fertilize, trim the bushes and even put down mulch (as long as you go with black). In the winter they plow and shovel driveways. It's awesome and I am baffled when people tell me they aren't willing to pay that. No mower, no weed whacker, no fuel.
-House cleaning: $89 every two weeks. It's just my wife and I and our dogs so it's not all that necessary, but it's been so nice. Wife's a neat freak so it's relieved tension between us.
-Flight Upgrades: If I have a flight of 3 hours or more, I will gladly shell out the $150 to upgrade to first class. I will also do those small upgrades to the "premium seats" if I don't like my seat in coach.
-Golf Club Membership: There's a limit to how much I would pay, but I really like the deal I have now. Love the course, guaranteed 8am tee times every weekend, great bunch of people, fun tournaments. It would be cheaper to do the GolfNow thing and only pay when you play (and at a discount), but I love what I get for the extra money.
-Sandals Resorts: We could spend less and find much cheaper all inclusive resort deals, but I like the adults only aspect and we know what we are getting instead of rolling the dice on some internet deal that looks great on paper.
-Food: I buy fresh produce and the more expensive meats and cheeses in the deli. I've had some of those cheaper lunch meats and they are garbage.

Not Worth It:
-New/Expensive Car: I haven't had a car payment in years. I have a Civic and am more than fine with it. When I get in bigger, newer cars I always think about the upgrade but I just can't justify it. Not a car guy so it's really nothing more than transportation.
-Expensive Wine: I really like some of the boxed wines and others priced ~$10 a bottle. I have had the much more expensive wines and I can't see the value.
-Newest Technology: I'll always end up upgrading, but I am not going to pay for the latest TV technology, iPhone, etc. I wait for the prices to come down significantly before I upgrade.
-Extended Warrranties: I'm with Joker. I never get them.

Completely agree on the Sandals. Love the resorts. Worth the extra price imo.:toast:

Vanished into vortex
UBER/Lyft in certain scenarios. For example, it cost me $30-$50 to park at a Steelers game. I rarely go to a game anymore, but I do go to the tailgate. UBER/Lyft cost me $63 round trip on gameday. For the extra money I don't have to worry about how much I drink and my ability to drive or be concerned about a DUI.

Money well spent.

Worth it: lawn care, great seats, oil change, tire rotation, valet parking (have u ever driven around a parking lot over and over only to be continually disappointed? Pay that $5 and pull up front), car wash/car detailing, laundry service, online shopping, overnight shipping, quality expensive shoes, and fast internet.

Not worth it: warranties, expensive gym memberships, expensive restaurants (there?s always a cheaper option), any drink that costs more than $10, dealership automotive repairs, dealership auto body work, expensive haircuts, and driving across town to buy gasoline that might be 5 cents cheaper a gallon.

Not worth it:

Upgrade fee to 1st class (if I already have an exit row seat), extended warranties on electronics that cost less than $2500, buying expensive single malt scotch (like an 18 year vs a 12 year - my taster can't really tell much difference between 12 and 18 yr Macallan). Buying Prime steak (again, Costco choice is almost as good), low deductibles on auto policies. Paying to have someone mow lawn or shovel snow (it is good exercise)

Worth it:

Car detailing, house cleaning, having a good mechanic that you've found, buying the upgraded "whatever" for the wife, and buying off of 3 and 7 in the NFL....

Not worth it: top shelf vodka if it's going to be in a mixed drink. No way you can tell the difference. NO WAY.
