It seems like more and more people on this board are playing teasers. Anyone with sports betting experience can tell you that teasers are a losing proposition -much like 3 and 4 team parlays....all sucker bets. If you bet a lot of teasers (and pay attention) when you win those bets you would typically win without the extra points. Someone please help me understand the recent popularity of teasers....seems like pissing money away to me. :sadwave:

So far this year my teasers are 31-18...+5.7 units

If everything goes right, you can add 4-1...+1.2 units for this weeks teasers

Easy money

when you say benefited greatly does that mean you are + money this year with teasers in the NFL? I can see more value in the NFL when compared to college but still believe teasers will lose you money in the long run (over the season).

Teasers should be throw-away money. Betting $100 on a 3-team teaser for 2/1 odds is nuts IMO.

SUCKER BET WHOA!!!!!

SUCKER BET WHOA!!!!!

if you bet 3 team 10 point teasers today. You would have won on 24 out of 28 teams today.
24-4 i would have to say those are real good odds. And thats not even including the over unders, im sure those were good too but dont have time to figure them out. So sucker bet Pink i think not! Good Luck all!

If you can't win money getting extra points you shouldn't be betting at all

If you play the right teams and cover the critical numbers...easy money ;)

so what you are telling me is that you play nothing but teasers? If they are easy money over the long run (for any of you) why the hell would you bet anything else? Just curious...

I have never done them much before this year. I agree with the people that say you ca nlose in the long run, but 10 and 13 point teasers have been great for me - especially when using them for totals and lop-sided spreads - definitely have to pick your sports though - imo

Some are better at capping sides, some at totals, some at teasers, and I wouldn't rule anything out, especially something that's working. When the lines come out, I sometimes have to force myself to give a look at the totals because I'm so conscious of the sides. I think I'm even 3-2 or better with my selective use of NFL teasers this year . . . I'm much more amazed when I see cappers buying points in college basketball.

In capping golf, some are good with the 14/1 favorites, others are good with the 150/1 longshots, and I wouldn't rule anything out. Much the same thing, IMO.

There you go Pink Panties, losing teaser which proves your point.

Seemed easy didn't it?

Teasers are no good, don't care what anyone says. If I play them, Sir Crown Royal stepped in. :)

i dont know about you guys, but i love the teasers and do real well on the teasers. college and nfl and only 4 teamers, cause the two teamers are only a score away from losing, so im with u on the two teamers but i LOVE THE 4 TEAMERS!. also dont bet alot of teasers. what i do is play maybe 1 or 2 on saturday and sunday.
but overall 4 teamers does a body good!!!

teasers have saved my ass in nfl for years ... doing them in cfb is suicide ... but ur right, its aggravating to tease gints to bears today when parlay woulda won--- but then again, I didnt have to sweat my nuts off in last 5 mins, and to me that means something ... i endure enuff tuff beats that to have some peace of mind at times helps me get thru the day :)

Agree, teasers in the NFL have been a huge success for me in recent years, but will never play one in college. Applying certain systems to 2 teamers has proved very succesful for me year after year.

A 3 team 10 point teaser usually pays out at $84 for a $100 risk depending on the odds and site...not 2-1 that your saying.
