I try to gain an insight into a major loss but I can't seem to find one.

Maybe you guys could help.

Had Patriots at ml and +1 for game.

The line was 9... they lose straight up.

I just don't see it. I don't even believe it. Rex Ryan slayed what I thought would be a Pats team in the Super Bowl...

Major upset or complete square bet?

Thanks in advance...

My 2 cents

My 2 cents

Why would you bet the Pats ml and tease them to +1? Really dont mean to be a dickhole but you teased it the wrong way if you knew you were gonna bet the Pats on the ml. Coulda had +19 on the Jets and Pats ml and still had a great chance to cash both.

I learned it sucks to lose. No, I already knew that!

Congrats to the Jets. Patriots couldn't get any offense going at all. They made Brady look normal.
I dunno what to say except congrats to the Jets.

No, this is something I didn't even consider and you bring up an excellent point.

This won't happen again, and I appreciate the feedback.

My thought process centered around the Patriots ability to score into the mid 30s and the Jets inability to score the last few games.

You make an excellent point.

Thanks.

NE was not as great as everyone thought and the Jets may be a little better than many thought.

Everyone remembered the last thrashing given to the Jets. History always repeats itself doesn't it?

Tom Brady is not the GREATEST ever. I think this can finally be put to bed. Thank God!

No matter what anything can happen in Sports. It is that simple I guess.

But this didn't factor into my wager ... but you know, the more I think about it, the more I realize it did. That played a key role in teasing down instead of up...

Good point as well.

Thanks.

Good form. :toast:

I know it's hard and that's why its that much more commendable for you to say to Jets fans.

Full credit to the Jets who made the necessary adjustments after the beatdown in December. No easy feat knocking off both Manning and Brady!

I am not surprised the remaining 4 teams all have Top 10 defense. You know what they say about defense and championship.

what we learned is pats weren't as good or jets not as bad as their 45-3 game. Defense is still the name of the game a team like NE that runs it up during the regular season gets all the flavor of the day attention. One hiccup in the playoffs if your offense is getting shut down is it willcome back and bite you in the butt when you have an average defense.

you learned that good teams play much harder when they get blown out in their previous meeting, especially in division. And the Pats were pretenders, They had a weak defense all year which was masked by them somehow the last few weeks of the year.

So my question to you is..

If they were playing again next week, who would you bet on, if you had to bet?

This horseshit about Brady being overrated and the Pats being pretenders is just that...next year they will be back and winning $$$ for us. Simple as that. Christ!

The playoffs leave no room for error. I didn't watch every Pats game this year, but you can't drop the football on check downs and hot reads. When you do, you create doubt in the QB's ability to get the ball out, and you see a frustrated, and QB unsure of himself. The Jets constant ability to pressure Brady, and really hit him a few times, fueled this as well. Then the times the Jets rushed 3, the Pats had to go such a long distance, the crossing patterns and dump offs they are known for weren't enough.

The letdown of the Pats D in the 4th quarter was big as well. The Pats have a grueling drive, and 2 point converstion to cut it to three, and immediately give up a big pass play, putting the Jets in the red zone, and allow a score to two players that were "on", with Holmes seeing to make his biggest catches when it really counts.

And from just watching the game, it really seemed like the Jets wanted it more. they were blasting the Pats receivers and running backs, and whenver they needed a play, they seem to get it. That is pure speculation, but it just seemed it to the room I was in watching the game (half Jet fans and half Pats).

Next week's game should be a slugfest to say the least. :toast:

Under a mask.
Record wise it looked like a mismatch.Think about it ,the Pats streak of wins at home and Brady's no interception streak of passes stays intact for the regular season while the one that really matters the playoffs does not.

Jets made championship game last year so its not like this is uncharted waters for them. Will be interesting this week as the shoe will be on the foot meaning the Jets beat Pitt a few weeks earlier.

Can Ryan win the big one that gets them to SB or will he be known as just another Jets coach couldn't get past the hump?I know this much its time to move forward and get ready for Pitt. The NE game is over.

What we learned is that money is what fuels sports and sports wagering. At no point during that game did I get a sense from Tom Brady and his body language that he wanted to win this game.,

I also was going to put a huge chunk of change on the Pats ML but it just seemed too easy and you know what they say so I layed off. Sometimes the best bet is no bet at all.

The whole game and feel of it was very fishy to me.

I didn't learn that i knew that. The Jets have a terrible punter a terrible Kicker and average defense and a below average quarterback. What they had going for them is a superstar crooked quarterback who was told to lose that game like the good soldier he is. He totally forgot how to play and those sacks were hilarious. They were showing guys open down field but unlike Ben who was throwing darts Brady for some reason was holding the ball or throwing balls in the ground. It really is sad that people just refuse to accept this but that is life and money rules in this country.

Boozer did u notice when Brady was allowed to score at the end he threw darts right to his guys and scored easily? He could have done that all game long. That defense is so overrated. Nothing like Baltimores.
