Minnesota's missed opportunities, Favre in general, or the OT rules that allowed Minny to never get the ball?
Not a knock on N'Awlins that's just what always comes up whenever the receiving team in OT scores.

I agree, that should be the story. Minny wins easily if they didn't keep shooting themselves in the foot.

you really think he was going to run or capableof running after the severe beating he took in the game. its amazing he was still playing up to that point.

Favre took a beating and is definately a warrior. The Vikings would'nt even be in that game without him. Unfortunately I think his playoff legacy is going to be making the critical mistake at the end of games.

I think it was the 3 questionable (at best) calls in OT:

1. The 4th and 1 with Pierre Thomas losing control of the football - yet the officails still gave him forward progress before he lost the ball - I think the rule is you can't do so

2. The PI on Leber - on the ball that appeared to be uncatchable - it was a throw away by Brees due to the pressure - but NO got the call

3. Huge non catch by Meacham - ball hit the ground with no control, but it wasn't overturned....

Everything fell into place for NO - win the flip, and 3 calls that were questionable ALL went their way....

The NFL is much like the NBA - the officals determine the outcome. Not sure if there is way to get away from that, but it is too bad that the whole NFL season gets defined by calls in OT, along with an outdated, poor OT format that the NFL uses......
