So. Cal
guess it's just my personal opinion of hedging

i have buddies asking about hedging their 2 and 3 team parlays after 1 or 2 are in the barn...my question is always....if you feel the need to hedge after 1 or 2 games why in the hell did you make the bet in the first place??

for something like your bet where you need to go 6-0 to win the wager, i wouldnt start hedging now with 4 games left....say ucla wins today and you hedge, you'll hedge again on sat, then if they win, you'll hedge again in the final 4, then if they win you'll hedge again in the title game.......eventually if they win it all, you've hedged away a large portion of your profits.

either way good luck .....fwiw i think ucla wins tonight

I see where you're coming from gjn23. I agree that it's too early to start hedging. I wouldn't mind getting five points with the Zags as a bonus though. The line movement will determine if I put a small amount on Gonzaga and the points.

If UCLA wins tonight they will probably be the dog the rest of the way making it harder to hedge. I would have at least 2 units on the points and another 2 on the moneyline. If UCLA wins by less than 3 you break even. If they win and cover you have 31 left to play with. Personally, I'll be on Gon on the ML tonight.

I rolled the dice and got lucky against the Zags, but don't trust this young team against Memphis. What would u do?

Didn't hedge against Memphis, but I will against LSU. I have 35 units to play with. BetJamaica has FLA @ +160 to win it all. I was thinking about putting 10 units on that, and 10 on the LSU moneyline. I can get LSU to win it all @+200. I know I'm leaving GMase out of the equation, but I think it's Florida's year. The way I see it is that FLA is in the final and anyone would take the gators +160 next monday, if it was available. What do you think the line will be on UCLA/LSU vs. FLA?

Another twist is that I will lose my bracket pool by 1 point if LSU wins the championship. The winner gets 10 units and 2nd gets 5. The worst I can do is 2nd. I know I sound like a rambling fool, but I've never been in a no lose situation like this before and I don't want to screw it up. What to do

...you should be able to find better odds on LSU cutting down the nets. I would guess around 2.5 to 1

...otherwise I agree on taking Fl +160 to win it all and putting something on LSU ML when they play UCLA. You've come this far, you should walk away with something.... :)

Florida should be favored by 2-4 points over UCLA or LSU, I would guess.... Best of luck...well, who needs luck with a no lose situation like the one that you're in.... Nice call with the futures wager on UCLA.... :SIB

Thank taoist, I really respect your opinion. If LSU gets past UCLA, I would have an awesome middle opportunity with FLA +160 & LSU +3 or +4. I really think this is the way to go. I wish the LSU line would stop rising.
