I know it's not the question that was asked, but speaking as a native Chicagoan for the first 36 years of my life - when we say "Chicago pizza" we are not talking about deep dish. We're talking about the below - thin crust cut into squares. Deep dish is our "tourist pizza".
Don't get me wrong - I am not knocking deep dish. I love it. But your average Chicagoan has deep dish maybe 3-4 times/year. Thin crust is multiple times/month.

This is the same crap that everyone eats here in Columbus. It sucks. Donato's is the main local chain for this and I just don't get it.
What's good?
For a national chain, I?d go with Mellow Mushroom. I don?t mind the ones that usually bet bashed like Dominos but this thin, greasy, 60 pieces per pie nonsense blows.

I think this is the 57th "which pizza is better" thread.
If I ate a slice of that Chicago stuffed pizza? I would be backed up for a week with all that cheese:142smilie

Old Chicago is good in Colorado......... Not as detailed oriented as you, but it's good to me at least. :0008Order one in Chicago and then tell me it's the same. I guarantee it's not. There are plenty of places outside of Chicago that also advertise "deep dish" and that's also not the same. Gotta get the real thing!
If you don't frequent Chicago - there are three Chicago chains currently operating in Vegas: Rosati's, Aurelio's, and Giordano's. Rosati's and Aurelio's have great thin crust. I can personally vouch that the Aurelio's in Vegas is legit - although they are a little bit outside the norm as they use a hint of cheddar and a slightly sweet sauce that I love but some people hate. Giordano's I can also vouch for - you can't go wrong as they have both great thin and deep dish. They are in the shops right in front of Bally's and also have a location in the Summerlin area. Never had Rosati's there (probably because after hitting up the first two on my list that's enough pizza for one trip). It's good in Chicago but I'm a little leery outside of there because the original owner's 5 sons took over in the mid-90s and franchised the hell out of it. Usually when that happens the quality suffers.

Definitely Chicago style! Detroit style isn?t bad either
You live in the city or a suburb? Brother lived in Downers Grove and I have a cousin that lives in Lincoln Park.
And gimme that top pie? love me some well made deep dish pizza

I kinda lived all over. Mostly in the western suburbs - grew up in Glen Ellyn and lived in Naperville (right next to Downers) for the last 6 years before before moving out to Utah in 2015. Dad still lives in Tinley Park. I did live in the city for a bit - Lincoln Park and Gold Coast for a year each. Chicago pizza is often on my mind as it's a pizza wasteland out here. Lou Malnati's and Giordano's both ship frozen deep dish out here so I always have a supply in my freezer but I just can't get a good thin crust anywhere.
And to answer your other question - Detroit style is a thick pan pizza cut into squares. Also referred to as Sicilian style. If you have a Jet's Pizza in your area - they're a chain that does that style.
