never even wanted new car used from 1st car on 1 -2 year olds way back in 70's could be bought for $2000

MY latest sweet gem yeah costly all taxes and tire wrannty included cost me 11 K but man this gem only had 50127 on it in sept today i'm over 57,000 which is ok cause lots of long hiway trios 2 - 3 times a month.

I sold cars for 5 years up til 1981 thats when they cut profit margin down made it tough to give huge discounts.

I really think i'll never buy new. NOT livinmg here and parking on city streets omg the kids with bikes balls skate boards really carve your car up.

like really do i want to put a $28,000 vehicle on my street?

:scared

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Had a neighbor that bought one, gold if I remember correctly.

It was originally designed for a Wankel rotary engine,,,did not happen.

We called it a "Fishbowl on wheels".

Rear end looks like a later Porche..

Pacers! Rear wheel drive, wide track, rack and pinion steering, available V8 and large engine bay, and a front sway bar on the "X" sport package. What's not to like?

In this 1978 AMC Pacer Wagon you see a 500 cubic inch Cadillac V8 - which is 8.2 liters rocking 535 ft-lbs (gross) at 2,800 rpm...

Tony Lapine, the American who designed the Porsche 928, did indeed say the Pacer inspired his bubble-tail look on the Porsche.

I never bought new, but now would like to someday buy slightly used. Get that new car feeling/reliability with the current fancy collision avoidance tech...

Right now I drive this Mercury built like a tank, the last body-on-frame V8 RWD sold in US... Cops and taxi companies beat these Mercs/Crown Vics/Lincoln Town Cars all to hell but cheap repairs keeps them going smooth to 300K (taxi) to 500K (airport shuttle TC) miles. Gotta like that! Cops and taxi companies were furious when Ford stopped making these in 2011, nothing like it made now...

I have a 2004 Honda Pilot with 125K on it but it had a new factory motor at 75k so technically it only has 50k on the motor itself and the body is in great shape. I have been new car shopping for years but just haven't made the commitment I think because I like not having a car payment. My daughter who will be 15 this year says she wants my Honda. I'm ok with that so I'll hold out another 1.5 years and just hand the car down to her (good deal for her then she has no payment) and then I'll get a new car at that time. For so long I have wanted a Toyota Highlander but now that the new Pilots came out I like the body style better. I'll only ever buy a Toyota or Honda. :0074
