CZECHOSLOVAKIA

IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES IN THE WORLD. I spent a week there and I wouldn't mind living there, BUT there is almost no baseball and I cannot live without baseball.

I've thought about it. 51 now, will qualify for my work pension in about 3 years which will get me about 2200 after paying monthly fees to keep medical/dental benefits going. However, i'll keep working until I am 62 so at that point I will be good with both the pension and earlier social security. As for the country alot could/will change in 11 years. Of the Latin America countries it seems Chile is the most solid/stable and will probably continue. In the end will probably stay here. Arizona would work if you could split the warmer months in Prescott and the cooler months in Lake Havasu.

My wife and I are considering it. We've been thinking about how to go about it and I think we will look to keep our house and rent some places out and see what feels right. Costa Rica, Equador, and Spain are on the radar.

The only thing I miss is going to Detroit Tiger games at Comerica Park. I don't miss anything else at all.

We will be going in January now.....will rent as you suggested when I retire and see if it is right for us. Live sports we may miss, yet....getting older I enjoy sitting back and watching on TV. Thanks again for all the information. :0008

OK, we'll see you when you come down. That is a nice time of year here.

Cool! We'll be happy to give you a full tour of the Jaco area.

I'm thinking Atenas but I know nothing yet. I just like that it's closer to Escazu and Heredia, where the books are? I like what I hear are the average temperatures - 80/60. I'll be out next week to take a peak but mainly to meet up with a few of our advertisers.

If you're coming down here to Jaco, let me know. I don't know much about Atenas other than some expats like its location, 20 minutes to the Central Valley and a little under an hour to the beach. Also, it's at a little higher elevation so it's a little cooler, not sure about 80 though. Mid to high 80s is more like it. I've been to Atenas a couple of times but there doesn't seem to be much of a town.
