Maybe invest in the business instead of the product.

Morris… I do that as well buddy, as the dollar moves down, gold and silver perform very well. Not a bad idea to do both, I like having the physical as well. Hope all is well!

So did Jack buy gold or not:shrug:

I was curious how the mail order goes. That can be some serious money if the package gets lost or you're sent fake gold plated crap or you're not sent anything at all. Not only does USPS scare me but so does FedEx and UPS too. I'm thinking about it.

I have never had a problem… Packages are very securely packaged up, but not marked with bullion company name. I have bought everything from one coin, to several kilo bars of silver, and you would never know what is in the package. I'm sure they have to be insured.

If you buy bars where can you sell them ? Do you get good price or is there premium when buying/selling. If/when so, how much price needs to go up to cover those premiums.

at the moment price for 1oz bar is here 1945€/$2138 :0003

Premium is simply the difference between "spot price" and what the dealer is asking as a price. Premiums will go up as demand goes up… So premiums are a little elevated in this environment, as people flock to precious metals to diversify. You can sell gold bars just as you can sell coins back to dealers (of which there are many reputable ones) or you can sell them privately… I.e. local coin shops, eBay etc. the only difference between bars and rounds as opposed to coins… Is coins are backed and minted by governments, rounds/bars are minted by private mints.
