Just think it is funny.... Most players seemed to be backing the Colts last week, now I see everybody on NE this week... I was a backer of NE last week and I think Pitt will win this one.

Anyone else on NE last week and Pitt this week...
What I find funny is how you never hear anything about Law being out this week, but that is all you heard last week... For me I knew it wouldn't be a big deal because they are not physical... The Steelers WRS may be just as much of a mismatch or even more because they are so physical and can beat B&R... Guess because Ben threw a couple picks last week, he can't get them the ball

played new england small last week and gonna play em again small this week. you really have faith in cowher?

i dont think theres any shame in pitt losing this week. i just dont think theyre better than new england when everything is on the line.

its gonna be a good game. but im not sure pittsburgh wiins.

I ended up taking NE and now I am thinking about Pitt simply because they are the livest possible homedog I can ever imagine.

I hammered the Colts two weeks ago. I hammered the Pats last week, and I think New England wins this game by a field goal but will bet the steelers if the line goes to 4 or 4.5 based on alot of factors.

I think Pitt could possibly lose, but I think too many people are jumping on NE for the wrong reasons. It seems all people remember is the last game played by both teams... NE beating the Colts should have been easy to predict because of the 29th rated defense.

Reasons I like the Steelers:

Steelers practice vs the 3/4 and are very familiar with it. Belichick will not be able to pull anything on defense, that Le Beau hasn't seen or won't be able to adjust to. Le Beau is the key, he is the innovator...

Pittsburg's line is superior on Both sides of the ball.

It's at Pittsburg and the are playing the dog card...

Besides QB, I can't think of a position that the Pats are superior... That is even questionable, because for the year Ben was more efficient... Either way, the QBs will not determine the winner in this one because the Pats won't be able to stop the run.

NE secondary is suspect....

Seymour not being healthy is a huge deal.. Didn't matter last week, but they are not playing a pound it out team...

as soon as you retract that preposterous statement about the qb advantage to new england being "questionable", then we'll talk.

and i do have to ask the question ive asked all week.

does it tell you a lot that youve already beaten new england, the steelers stand at 15-1..... and theyre still underdogs.

me thinks theyre underdogs for a reason.

theyre just not as good as new england.

again, nothing to be ashamed of or take offense to, because really only philly is as good as the pats.

cowher vs. belichick is a mismatch . i hate to say it

Let's hear it....... Oh wait... My bad NE has Pitt at TE + Kicker (although Reed has hit 19 in a row)

Wrs Not Close
RBs = Push
FB Nope
OL Not Close
DL Nope
LBs Close
Corner Nope
Saftey = Push

OK, I'll take it back.. Can't argue with two rings.. Other than that, I'd like to hear it... The Line has nothing to do with the game, it is public perception.... How much does the General Public know???

thanks for that retraction, lol. i cant at least debate this with you as a knowledgable fan now.

i think pittsburgh holds a lot of positional advantages.

but i think new england holds the two most important ones.

quarterback and coaching.

although i will say that pittsburgh wins the secondary battle by default, because their secondary is atrocious. new england's is just beat up. pittsburgh's is just lame when healthy.

i absolutely think pittsburgh will be able to run the ball on new england. i dont expect this game to be a blowout. pittsburgh will be right there in it. but when its all said and done, i dont think they have enough to get over the hump and new england wins by 7-10.

thats me

When you say outcoached, you have to include Le Beau. I see coaching as being very close. Cowher beat Belicheck's team three times in 1994 and won 6 straight from 1993-1995... This is the biggest misnomer of all. He also outcoached him earlier this year.

How many starters from the secondary are still starting this year.? Try 0!!!! Who is terrible? The secondary was 4th in the league in yards allowed.... :)

Offensive line is intriquing. Both O lines took over their respective games. This week will be tougher for both.

Linebacker edge? Tough to call
Defensive line? you make the call.
Secondary pats banged up but I'll stick with them
recievers goes to Pitt
Running backs? Very close.
Qb Brady easily
Head Coach and system Bill B takes a backseat to noone
special teams both good.

The Offensive line goes to Pitt for sure, and the D line goes to Pitt with Seymoure out.. K. Bell is also playing this week, so the Steelers have 3 pro bowlers at LB...... Last time they played, there was no doubt which lines were superior... Did you watch that game????

What happens if Ben outplays Brady like last time??? It could happen, as he tore them a new one last time out... The tallest CB for NE is 5'10 I think.. Can't wait to see him matched up with Burress one on one when the Pats have to put 8 guys on th eline to stop the run...

So. Cal
coaching-please dont ask
qb-see above
rb-ne
oline-pit (slight)
dline-pit
lb-ne
db-ne
saftey-ne
kickers-ne
return game-push

the problem is you dont compare qb-qb...you should compare positions that actually play vs each other

brady and wr-vs pit pass defense---adv ne
pit pass rush vs ne protection-adv pit, not as big as you think because threat of running game will be there this time around
dillion vs pit rush defense--push...dillion is a stud and ne will run this game, pit is good at stopping run, but balanced offense will throw off pit def

ben and wr vs ne pass def--adv ne
ne pass rush vs pit oline-push, oline good, ne schemes better than anybody since tb
pit rb vs ne d-rush def--adv pit..hoever the chin ALWAYS goes away from the run in title games...desperation sets in which leads to turnovers.

kicking games....i'll take vinateri

in the gambling world ne -3 is the correct spread (esp after last weekend)if it were anything else everyone would be on pit...when denver came into pit a few years back they were also3 point favs.....and won rather easily. in my mind ne is still the correct side

So. Cal
cower beat billicheck 6 straight times from 93-95???
well hell that's all the analysis i need, pit it is.

dont forget this one, it's almost as relevant:
pit has 4 super bowl rings
ne only has 2......friking losers

Yeah Pitt has the #1 rush offense and has the best run stopping D, NE has the advantage here????? :142lmao:

LBS Gimme a break (Porter/ Bell /Farrior) Three pro bowl LBs - Porter alone had three sacks and a forced fumble in the last outing...

Pit was 4th in the league yardage given up... Last time we played, we picked Brady off twice... One for a TD

<<<<dillion vs pit rush defense--push...dillion is a stud and ne will run this game, pit is good at stopping run, but balanced offense will throw off pit def>>>> Pitt had number 1 rush defense and has given up 1- 100 rusher all year.... Pitt is very familiar with Dillon because Pitt has played him numerous times before..

<<<ben and wr vs ne pass def--adv ne>>> Yeah NE's beat up secondary is going to stop Burress/Ward while keeping 8 guys in the box... How many games have you seen Ben play??????

Time will tell...
