I like the immediate deflection and feel free to compare any one of the names above to this one in terms of qualifications.I was caught off guard by the lack of experience of so many cabinet and cabinet- adjacent Biden nominations.
I'm assuming you guys were cool with these:
Neera Tanden
Pete Buttigieg
Shalanda Young
Den Halaand
Gina Raimondo
Marty Walsh
Marcia Fudge
I dont know if R I thinks its smart but i do he worked for Vets for Freedom and Concerned Vets for America he joined the NG in 2003 and is still there he served 2 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan he was awarded 2 Bronze Stars and 2 Army Commendation Medals plus other awards .He went to Princeton and Harvard . His rank is Maj And i would venture to say if he gets sick and goes into the hospital he will notify his boss. I see no problem if he was on TV as a commentator for Fox and CNN and MSNBCI like the immediate deflection and feel free to compare any one of the names above to this one in terms of qualifications.
Peter Hegseth is a TV host, author, and former infantry officer in the Minnesota national guard. He's being nominated to the position of Secretary of Defense.
Do you think this is a smart appointment?
Oh, I spoke about my thoughts on Hegseth in my thread.I like the immediate deflection and feel free to compare any one of the names above to this one in terms of qualifications.

Yes, I have similar thoughts. I know a few senators were caught off guard with his nomination. I trust that the senate will do their homework and only confirm him if he’s the right man for the job.I dont know if R I thinks its smart but i do he worked for Vets for Freedom and Concerned Vets for America he joined the NG in 2003 and is still there he served 2 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan he was awarded 2 Bronze Stars and 2 Army Commendation Medals plus other awards .He went to Princeton and Harvard . He has a fantastic resume......for TV host to talk about the military. Not Secretary of Defense. Compare the qualifications of Lloyd Austin and you'll see how asinine this pick is.Yes, I have similar thoughts. I know a few senators were caught off guard with his nomination. He has a fantastic résumé, it’s just secretary of defense is a big deal and he is you wonder if he’s got the right relationships in place. I can assure you that if he was put in charge of veteran affairs, I would’ve called that a homer hire. We just want as many intelligent common sense people as possible running the show. I trust the process.
well, let's be honest. his job will be to do whatever donny tells him to do. i'm sure he'll be fine at that.He has a fantastic resume......for TV host to talk about the military. Not Secretary of Defense. Compare the qualifications of Lloyd Austin and you'll see how asinine this pick is.
