Nope. They took a small piece of cloth and stitched it onto the inside of the pocket. I still can't figure out the fucking purpose and like Eric said, you can't get two fingers in it so retrieving anything that goes into it is a serious chore.

I eat Asian cuisine with chopsticks, use my fob to lock my car and have never "lost" anything in a small right pocket compartment. Life is good

I got a nice pair of new shorts at Goodwill last year which had this pocket. I did wonder and looked it up. Nice piece on the pocket here, which offers a partial solution.
