please remind us exactly which part of Diversity, Equality, and Inclusion that you hate. or do you hate all 3 equally?
Hmmmm 10,000 applicants for 100 doctor positions

Do I want 49 men, 51 women, 13 of them black, 65 of them white, six of them Asian, 2 Arab, and the rest Latin American?

I don’t. I just want the 100 most qualified doctors and I couldn’t care less if they’re all black or all white or all Taiwanese.

I was expelled from a private high school 10 days before graduation. I was in the accelerated program, so was placed in the same accelerated classes at the public high school where I finished. I was there for a full week, and then exams. Really sucked because I was exempt from my exams at the private school, but was forced to take at the public school. My first day in homeroom i sat in a diverse classroom for the first time of my life. It was indicative of the makeup of this suburb. A few black kids, a couple Latin American kids, a couple of Asians, and mostly white kids. I thought nothing of it. Then i entered the AP physics and AP calculus classrooms. Whole new world with well over 50% Asians. I thought these are the sharpest 30 kids in terms of math and science at this school.

Without DEI, I feel the same way when I board a plane, or when I walk into a hospital. These are the most qualified people to fly this plane or conduct the surgery. With DEI, I would openly wonder how many of these people were placed here because of their race or gender or ethnicity and not based on their ability to fly or operate?

Do you really think that's how this shit works? Just grab someone off of the street because they fit the color chart?

Try this. Without DEI, everyone would be lily white. You know.....the comfort spot for racist Americans. MAGA. Guaranteeing you're getting lesser qualified people. But, you get the reassurance that no darkies are flying your plane or doing your operation.

DEI was put in place to make sure that a brown doctor wasn't passed over simply because of her color and sex, and replaced with a lesser qualified candidate because his testosterone level registered nicely your dipstick.

Who said anything about grabbing someone off the street? That’s an absurd strawman position.

My point is I want the most qualified. I don’t want any nepotism, any race, any ethnicity, or any other reason for anyone to jump the line. I am equally opposed to nepotism in the college admission process as Ian opposed to DEI.

Does it make you long for LA Burns?
I forgot that LA burns had triggered you with his vaccine positions 😂😂

he was not vaccinated. His wife was. His kids are very young so I doubt they were vaccinated. I was vaccinated and my family was vaccinated— although only one of the two shots for my sons after talking with a physician who recommended not give the full dose to my teenage boys due to myocarditis concerns in developing teens.

I was unfazed by Burns’s position. Why would someone else’s position on something as personal as vaccination affect me at all?

The insane reaction from the left to Covid is one of the major factors in my shift 2 clicks to the right about 5 years ago.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

my god, you are so full of SHIT. you literally voted for the least qualified presidential candidate we've ever seen. a man who filled his cabinet with the least qualified candidates we've ever seen.

and if you don't like nepotism, you must REALLY hate the trumps. they are the poster children for nepotism.

yup, that's exactly how they think this works. because that's what their media is constantly telling them. they truly believe qualified white people are being bypassed for unqualified minorities. it's easy for them to believe, thanks to their racism. whether explicit or implicit.

implied in your statement is that when you see a person of color you immediately assume they are unqualified to be in their job.

and just a little help for your simple mind, because you obviously can't understand this. i'm glad you brought up the example of hospitals. now, you may struggle to comprehend this, but a lot of patients are not, in fact, white. and studies have shown that the lack of diversity among medical professionals leads to poorer outcomes for people of color and women. i'd include some links, but they'll all be more than 100 words (and they directly contradict your world view), so you wouldn't bother reading them.

first, a basic fact. women and people of color are not automatically unqualified. if you can't understand that, then i'm definitely wasting my time. but let's just assume (despite a lack of evidence) that you have enough functioning brain cells to agree with that statement. do you think it's fair for women and people of color to suffer poorer outcomes due to a very white medical community? that is not a rhetorical question.

oh, and one more thing... the fact that you were never exposed to a diverse classroom until your last 10 days in high school explains a LOT.

There are weekly injections available to help with low testosterone
A) yet another witty, intelligent reply and

B) we've learned repeatedly that a defining characteristic of MAGA is projection. so.... yeah. sorry to hear about it.

oh, and C) im pretty sure the men who gravitate towards a fake hyper-masculine leader are really the ones with the low T issues.

Every right wing talking head makes certain this is what the base thinks.

i listen to several podcasts /YouTube shows regularly.

Most of these:
Dersh
Rogan - not always political
John Stewart

Some episodes of

Ezra Klein
Megyn Kelly
PBD
Sean Ryan

None of these folks, the right or the left, have made reference to “grabbing someone off the street” to perform professional tasks in regards to DEI.

Why am I not surprised you wrote 75 words on my attempt at humor and no words on my actual response?

I get it, though. This one hit close to home

You continue to make me laugh.

And with the old way you'd get a pool that generates 100 white dudes, not the 100 most qualified. Every good job, every time. You can't have it both ways.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

you, YOU, are seriously saying that I didn't respond to one of your points? what didn't i reply to?

meanwhile, i pointed out your blatant racism, in fact the very systemic racism that you're clearly a product of (and absolutely fine with), and you don't even try to refute it.

i wish i could say you actually make me laugh. but, no, you just continually remind me of why our country is so absolutely fucked. you ignorant dipshits think you're "winning", while the billionaires whose bidding you're doing sit back and enjoy the show.

Then DEI should be a non-issue for you. Obviously, it gets the most qualified person to the job.

It’s simply isn’t true that you would get 100 white men in every good job. If that were the case, I would’ve been sitting in calculus and physics with a bunch of white boys 35 years ago as a high school senior, but instead, it was more than 50% Asians.

Jobs and college admission should be based on merit. It’s insane to punish an Asian kid from admission to an Ivy League school because so many other Asian kids are also top level candidates.

I will never stand for gender or minority set-asides.

😂😂

Quotas based on gender, race, or ethnicity art not acceptable to me. I voted against them. I’m thrilled that the president is resolving that issue.

I will add this issue was way down on my list of importance, but doesn’t minimize its importance at all. It’s just that there are far more urgent matters, including a potential world war
