Has there ever been one promoter or wrestler that has whined for a new arena?

The promoters and wrestlers seem to be content to do their job WHEREVER they are, get paid for it and go home.

The same can't be said for football, basketball, baseball or hockey.

Wooh Big Fellah, I nominate 'drift fishing' as the best and true sport..All we need is one crappy old tin boat, a pole with a piece of string on it ,a hook (bought or home-made) ,a rusty can with half to fully dead night crawlers and 4 cases of beer. A cooler is for advanced 'drift fishing'and will be examined at another time. And we do enforce the 'catch and release' program if you accidently hook onto some type of 'bottomfeeder'..This is truely the sport of Chumpions...Good luck,Ihave to pass after a tough beat yesterday...Spanky....

Gimme a break...

Synchronized swimming is more of a sport than wrestling!!

When the outcome is scripted, it aint a sport.

So let me guess they don't deserve any credit for putting their life on the line & risking injury almost 300 days out a year, night after night all because its scripted.

Give me a break, yeah wrestling might be scripted but I dare anyone to find a sport which is more dangerous & people work as hard since not one other sport works as many days as they do & put their asses on the line to make the crowd happy.

If they want credit for being a bunch of moronic, mono-syllabic baboons than sure, i give them credit.
If they want credit for licking Vince's anything and being his little puppets for him, than i give them credit.

As for a sport more dangerous, ever heard of Superbike racing? Auto-racing?

As for working as hard, try Winston Cup crew chiefs and crew members. They put in more actual work hours than 10 wrestlers put together!

Oh, and go tell the family of that wrestler that died falling from the top of the TWA dome how great wrestling and Vince are!!!

You are obviously one of the many who know absolutely NOTHING about wrestling so discussing it with you will be like discussing it with a newborn, I'll get nowhere.

One last thing, what you see in the ring is not the only work they do so what do you know about the amount of time they spend on their craft.

Why even bother

Of course you don't want to discuss it. Because you know I'm absolutely right on everything I said!

You have no comment about the wrestler who died(what was his name?) Kinda like Vince to his family...

Interesting...

Actually I don't want to discuss it with you because you lack any knowledge on the subject at hand & I'm in no mood to even bothering opening up your closed mind about it.

There is a big difference between the two so I would go try & figure that out before coming here with your "idea" of why I won't discuss it with you.

I already know about the guy who fell to his death, he went by the name of Owen Hart but that has nothing to do with the work effort & time these guys & girls put in to perfect their craft & risk themselves everyday unlike other athletes who might play every other day or every week.

When you do garner up some knowledge about wrestling & what goes on behind the scenes then come here & try to spread your "knowledge" about it.

I don't think its a sport. I have seen documentaries on how hard it is to become a profesional wrestler in the WWF or WCW. And yes, what they do is dangerous. However, this does not take away from the fact that their is a predetermined outcome and someone is going to win and know they are going to win before the "match" as you may call it begins. What these wrestlers are doing is not a "sport," it is more training to be an entertainer. It is a misconception to get the two fields confused. Yet, they seem to be confused much too often. Wrestling is a sport, I wrestled in high school competitively and this was a sport. Greco Roman and freestyle wrestling are a sport. However, the WWF and WCW wrestling is nothing more than staged entertainment. I have went from loving the WWF as a kid, to hating it since I have found out it was fake, to now having found a respect for its purpose and what is put into it today for the enjoyment of others. However, the fact remains that people should be able to distinguish a sport from a form of entertainment. JMHO, hope I don't upset anyone with my thoughts in this post

the wwf/wcw leagues are presently, in the past, and in the future, referred to BY THEMSELVES and others, as SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT.
big difference between being a full fledged sport and being an entertainer.
it kinda falls in the hazy gray middle line.

so its "scripted" name me one entertainment tv show that comes on during primetime that isnt.
how come everybody likes "friends"? "ER"? why was seinfeld such a big hit? they are all fake. but they entertained. which is probably why wwf sat atop the neilson tv ratings in the number position for over a year. and yes, the NFL offered them a WAD of cash to move it from monday nights at 9 pm (same time as MNF) because they were kicking MNF's ass in the ratings.

so apparently over half the people watching tv these days are "inbred, redneck, dipspitting, dogbeating, wifebeating, beerswilling, no toothed country bumbf*cks" according to some people.

frankly, i just dont see that many people like that owning tv's
so there has probably got to be some sort of entertainment value to it.

Welp, I guess cheerleaders and dancers are athletes. All they do is choreographed steps and rehearse alot, which exactly what wrestlers are doing. All choreographed and rehearsed. I'm not saying what they do is easy, but my god, it sure is lame IMHO.
