Freeze: Ok, so you say you are overtaxed. My question is, at what point would you be ok with your tax rate? What tax rate is fair for you? What tax rate is fair for anyone? Do you support a flat tax, where everyone pays the same and there are no deductions?

I think that idea has some merit...I just get tired of the same talking points...cut my taxes, I am overtaxed, tax and spend...etc.

Have those things happened since Bush has pushed through the tax cuts? I am asking...I have not researched and looked. Make your case, and prove this is working in the current administration.

AND, explain why the deficit has gone to ridiculous, unseen levels during this administration, with this plan in place, and why that is no big deal, and we should push for additional cuts?

And in 5 years spends 25 billion more then if they had just left original one alone. His vote was no because in truth it was not a cut. At least one Senator saw through the B S. Now if we just had about 50 more.

I'd imagine you can just cut and paste that line before "fat" and interject a new derogatory term to best suit your exclusive posts for all poor people. Why do you bother leaving the gated community at all? But of course poor people have the same chances in life as the rich people. I guess they just have a harder time making it because they are so fat. They just need to try harder. Luckily, if they try harder, not only can they make it, they will lose weight and look as good as the rich people. I understand trickle-down theory now. Thanks.

We somehow survived as a nation for 140 years without income taxes. We founded the damn country to get away from taxes and look where we are now. Why did we even have a federal government - to make treaties, have a military, and a post office.

But if we are indeed going to be socialist, the solution is easy. Do a budget like everyone else does - from the beginning. Not take last year add 4% and then figure out what else you need. 60% of the budget would never survive any sort of scrutiny.

I would add that by income I am in the top 1% and let me tell you I get the shit taxed out of me. 99% of the country gets a tax CREDIT when they adopt a child. Guess what I got? ZIP. That sure is smart isnt it - offer no encouragement to those who can afford to help. Most get to deduct their mortgage interest - I get to deduct about 1/3 of it. Buy a nice house - I will pay 19k in property taxes - dont I recall learning in history we were trying to get away from that too? That sure encourages folks to buy homes dont ya think?

Per my tax person where I fall is the absolute worst place to be tax wise. Everyone thinks your rich, but you really arent. But I am glad to pay for one of the worst eductional systems on earth whether I have kids or not, or for people's college loans they walk on, or children of illegal aliens to go to school and have health care, or Chelsea Clinton to attend the Olympics and have 24 hour security........

HERE IS THE PROBLEM:

1. Any spending reduction will be SPUN by the leftist media and democrats as being "uncompassionate and Blah, blah, blah"

2. The media will be on this until the election

3. The leftist socialists did not bring ONE VOTE towards fiscal responsibility. ONE VOTE!!!!!

4. Approximately 10% of the Rep. party is either leftist themselves or will be KILLED in the media if they vote against spending.

So therein lies the problem.

We have constituencies who VOTE THEMSELVES OTHER PEOPLE'S MONEY.

It is screwed up and a representative democracy will not function in such a system as the dollar goes down the toilet, there is no incentive to achieve, produce, excel, or work hard, etc. etc. etc.

Look what happened to Newt when he tried to control spending. He was crucified by the press and as a result, the government educated/brainwashed/dumbed down public didn't like their umbilical cord being clamped.

Now it is political suicide to cut spending.
