dogyee - would never recommend spending 40 units on any play, just terrible money management....i don't even have 40 units in my bankroll to spend, if uu get my drift...
having said that, alb, i'd go small on craybas if u want to p lay her, she is pretty average at best...the chance is there tho that venus is just as capable of playing like a total novice and make a welter of unforced errors and beat herself, she does that often enough nowadays...

Adding one for me:

Lopez $3.29 over Ancic (2)

GL :)

dogyee:

2 things.....first up.......the prices most guys use on here are decimal format....not vegas format....for example the Myrni play is +150 in vegas format and $2.50 in decimal format.....and if ya look above at Anders Lopez play, in vegas format thats +229.....although it must be said that tennis prices vary big time from book to book...and as for 5dimes...great place for tennis odds.....and they let ya parlay :)

2nd thing.......I agree with your Craybas analogy, but betting such a massive amount on one match is damn risky.....for example at some books you'd lose if Venus rolled her ankle :scared Make sure ya know the rules of the book before ya bet.... :)

anyway....best of luck on whatever ya choose :)

Thanks for all of your input. I don't post on this website unless I like a play alot, no matter what the price. So far Im...

2-0 in boxing +5 units
1-0 in NBA +12.5 units
1-0 in MLB +5 units

I hope to keep a zero in the loss column. And I have the same feeling I had on this play as I did on my other plays. I hope to be

1-0 in tennis +5.48 units

Many people don't like to pay that much juice on one play, I dont care I will go all in :scared on a play if I like it that much.

Slightly risky to bet your entire roll on one play, don't you think? Would have to keep up a perfect record to avoid disaster.

If you are going to play big favs 5dimes is probably not where you want to play. They are one of the few books which only need 1 complete set for the bet to have action, most other books nowadays require 2 complete sets.

I dont go all in all of the time obviously. But for this wager I have to go all in b/c of the price I have to pay. I will probably do it in pinnacle since it has to go 2 sets to be official. Thanks for the heads up.

To alb dont let my wager effect what you want to do with that matchup, if you see value in it then you should bet it. I just think if venus just plays a little better than her average she will win. And I like the fact that her sister lost to her, which might give her extra motivation.

Dent's slow start was costly, coulda been in that match for a long time...nice win by Lopez tho...
O/nite: 1-3 +1.08 units

Tourney to date: 8-20 -9.79 units ... clawing my way back...

Roddick starting to look really good and with his side of the draw continuing to open up I may sit until the final to hedge on +10 units...

Jumping early on this one:

Johansson $2.25 over Nalbandian (2.5)

Will prob play a unit on Lopez over Hewitt too, can get $3.41 at present but will sit and shop for a while, should still be able to get that later on and hopefully a little better...

Can you guys tell me how good Myskina and Pierce are playing? I only saw some of myskinas first round and she did not look good. Has she played better since then? Have not seen pierce play at all this year. I dont sweat either player.

Unless either of them are playing better than I think, it looks to be easy money on Venus and Mauresmo tomorrow. Any info is appreciated.

Sounds good to me....I'm in!

Bad day yesterday.......another nice chalk parlay there TOO. I actually jumped on for a unit after revalualting Craybas's chances. Lost every other bet I made though.

Can the Fed lose? Nobody looks capable of beating him....and we may be saying the same thing for the next 5 Wimbledons (I thought Nadal would have something to say but his play on grass makes you think he's been smoking it). I found it interesting how important the Fed rates Wimbledon. I.E. He said if he had 8 wimbledon titles and 0 French opens, he would rather win a 9th wimbledon instead of his first French.
Just food for thought.
