Yeah, he may have played his best, but I just hate the equation that beating Federer anymore is worth anything. The guy is done as far as top notch competitive play is involved. He'll never win another major. I also don't think Raonic with his laughable draw should be applauded for doing anything special. I'm more down on the state of mens tennis these days. It's terrible over the last year or so. Outside of Djokovic and occassionally Murray there isn't much. Nadal is done, Fed is done. Even the fringe guys like Berdych, Tsonga, Ferrer, etc. They just aren't a threat to him. You never wonder in any of these majors if Djokovic will be in the final, or Murray. Find a final without one of these two in it. I'd guess Cilic/nish 2 years ago but I could be wrong. There just isn't any competetive balance anymore. There wasn't when Fed was playing in his prime either. Can't fault Raonic for beating who they put in front of him. Good for him I suppose. But if you watch tennis which I know you do he is an extremely flawed player like most of these guys. He's got a big serve, but his stamina and return game aren't there. He's also terrible at the net. Watch Murray dismantle him like he did in Flushing a few years back. It's almost embarrasing. There is zero suspense going into Sunday. NONE. THere is ZERO chance Raonic can win the match. Absolutely none. Just like there was zero chance Murray would lose today. NONE. Men's tennis has serious issues. One great player and a bunch of bums. Djokovic isn't even challenged anymore. Sure, he lost in a rain delayed ten time match after winning everything for the last two years. He'll probably win everything else for the next two years. There just isn't any rivalries or players on the same level. Djokovic, then nothing really.
I felt like I just read a post from Hedgehog......95 percent of what Bleed said is incorrect, but hey at least he got 5 percent right. Literally almost every point Bleed made above is wrong, Bleed should change his username to Bleedhog.
