So Cal
Coca-Cola - I would not argue that they were "quality", whatever that might mean. I would simply say that they were entertaining. I know people that have seen no-hitters and complained that the game was boring. Don't really know what quality means - certainly there was little quality pitching to be sure. Still entertaining. Of course, If I am on the East Coast and the games start at 8:30, don't know if I would stay up until nearly midnight unless a fan of one of the teams. The only thing that matters is how it plays to those that watch. There are no bonuses for quality.

My thread is still alive and kicking!

My thread is still alive and kicking!

The series was a great series from a baseball fans point of view.

But only Angels fans can be happy with the conclusion.

The Giants lost the World Series, the Angels didn't win it.

I think their is definatley some shaddy underhanded dealings that influence the outcome of the world serieis. Maybe not necessarily who plays in the World Series, but which Market will win, or which Market (or small group of Markets) will have the best chance of making it too and winning the World Series.

Did you really think the Angels (Disney), who are trying to sell the team, would lose to the Bay Area. No one outside of the Bay Area ever wants there to be a championship baseball team form there. Unless, of course there is no choice (1989). If you look at the Markets you can determine the winner. Bay Area or LA.

Last year the Diamond Backs needed to win it (payroll, etc). Baseball is soooo Mafia.

Agree that it was a fantastic series from "fans' point of view". Didn't have the same # of dramatic finishes like last yr, but there were still twists and turns. One of the great things about the game of baseball is psychology, the chess match (i.e. the little moves that spark a big inning).

The term "quality" is relative. Some fans enjoy pitching, others hitting. Obviously this was more sided towards offense, but that made it exciting in itself.

Dunno about "mafia". LOL.:p Agree that it was SF's to lose after Game 5, having gone up 3-2. But the Angels clawed their way back from a FIVE RUN DEFICIT in Game 6! Can't tell me THAT'S fixed. It's an overused cliche, but the Halos truly were gritty and gutty when the chips were down. The Giants were staggered from that shot (if I could use a boxing analogy), and Game 7 was the knockout punch.

Good points on all....

Do you know that this was the FIRST
World Series EVER that DID NOT have a starter
go at least 7 innings in any game ??

That's 0-14

Fan's point of view ?? Scoring is better ?

I'm old fashioned....love the pitching duels

That's why I felt shortchanged....

Didn't seem like a "SERIES" to me...more like an "EXHIBITION"

at least....

your right about something kid....unlike your world series calls on frisco(or were they just anti-angel calls?)....yes, you can spell correctly which would lead me to think that you're not a moron.....so why all the ignorant world series posts and all the silly slams on the angels?? why the discounting of the value of this world series because of ratings??you sound ridiculous....it would'nt have anything to do with the fact that there was no team remotely close to the east coast that even sniffed the world series would it?? be honest now jersey boy....

by the way...i believe the stock market has closed!!!:moon:
