Alright first of all we are all losers having to sit through 4 of the most annoying and ignorant men in sports. Oh please dan patrick take it outside, enough dicky v, would somebody please punch that a$$hole stuart scott int he face, and i am sorry Portland Trailblazers personally offended you Steven A, but shut up about it already.
Losers come draft day are.....
I have to say everyone who passed on Marcus Williams after 3. What a mistake.
New York Knicks are losers. They pick Renaldo Balkman at 20, enough said.
Lakers..... Farmar? Really. Mr. No Defense Mr cant shoot. Mr isnt a very good passer. What is he good for again. Beside looking like a faun.
I mean there are alot of not great picks like Reddick for Orlando, who can be covered by 1, no not 2 or 3 guys like espn claims, by one longer reach player, which is almost everybody at the 2 and 3 in the nba.
Foye for Wolves is a worse fit than Marcus Williams and Roy, both of who I like.
Um the Sonics are silly for taking Sere whatever his name is.
But all in all i think everyone had very good picks.
Winners..... Nets.!!!!! They get 2 proven winners in Boone and Williams at 22 and 23. Steal of the draft at 22.
Suns. This is how bad Brian Grant is, the Suns traded on the best(not argueably) pg in the draft just to ditch his fat@ss. They are winners because they dont pick up any dead wieght and free up a ton of cash to keep the best offense in the league highly oiled and well payed.
Portland..... Yes steven A, Portland. You tell me I can have Aldridge and I am happy. then you say oh yeah you get Roy, and I say awesome. Then you say, oh you get two legit Euro leaugers, one of which is NBA ready, and I say wow I had a very good first round. When has steven a smith ever been right,
I know I talked earlier about Marcus Williams being a sleeper after #3. I said he was probably the most NBA ready gaurd and the best passer in the draft. I still stand by all those things.
Did anyone notice that Gay AND Armstrong (both lottery picks) only downsides were not assertive enough? I wonder why? Maybe because Williams ran the offense and got the ball to them when they needed it. UCONN was not a 1 on 1 offense under williams. He avg 9 assists!
The knocks on him, he is out of shape. No shaq is out of shape, williams was in shape enough to outrun the most talented team in college(uconn) and did everyone forget him playing big minutes and coming alive late in the 2nd?!?! He wasnt huffing and puffing. Lets see I got a guy who is the best pg in the draft and is proven he can lead talented winners and all I have to do is tell him to hit the treadmill. What is harder learning your place in the game(many players, Roy,Carney, FOYE), learning offensive skills(Thomas), learning defensive skills(Morrison, Reddick), building significant strength and muscle(aldridge, Bargnini,Thomas, many others) or hitting the treadmill(Williams).
What a great and interesting draft, and I think there will be alot of players that will surprise us as being duds so high of picks, but there will be alot of other players that will play serious minutes that are scattered all the way into the 2nd round.
Hope you guys all have a great night.
