Sounds great to me, Nolan. A couple of questions/clarifications:

1. I assume we can bid for more than one team if our total contribution stays under $100, right?

****Absolutely! Thing is, no one will be allowed to spend more than $100. But, you can buy several cheap teams if you like.

2. If your total bid is under $100 then you are only liable for your bid, not the full $100, right? This was clear from your rule #8 but I just wanted to mention it because dawgball thought if he stopped bidding at $90 he would still have to pay the full $100.

*****No, once you make a bid, you are locked in at that price. One thing -- I will have to revise the 21 day rule, since some players might buy multiple teams,

Minor nitpick: there is a bronze medal game for the 3rd and 4th place teams so we can split the last 25% as 15-10 if we like.

*****Souns good. UNless there is objection, we will consider it 50-25-15-10

Thanks for taking the time for all this, it should be fun!

(Now who's going to do the same for the NCAA tourney? :)

*****Not me!

I am still unclear (sorry for the bother), if I only bid $70 toward teams, then I only owe $70 or do I owe $100?

To clear up the 21-day rule, we could go ahead and send our $100 checks in. That would give everyone $100 to work with. If you use all of your money or not, the buy-in is stilll $100. That makes the pot set at $1,000, and gives everyone an idea of what payout they are bidding towards.

Sending the checks in initially will also keep people from bidding on a team and backing away from it. All bids would be final this way.

I hope I am not being a bother. This will be my last rules suggestion. Everything from this point decided by the group will be fine by me.

Thanks for all of the work.

Looks like we still only have 7 for the pool. Should we move it over to the General Discussion thread to try and get some more?

Also, if there is enough interest there's no reason we have to stop at 10, is there?

****Agreed. We can open this up to the entire forum, t, and go from there take bids. I'll post an announcement today to guage interest.

***$70. Since we wil open this up to everyone, it's possible I might get a check for $5. If someone bids $5 on Suadi Arabia, then that's all he owes. That's his team.

***No, I'll just conduct the auction, then collect checks at the end of the process. Once all teams are auctioned off, everyone will have 21 days to settle. If someone does'nt pay, we hold a late auction and re=do the teams. That's why we need to get started now.

***ONce someone has exausted their $100, they will be encourage to send the money then to lock up the team. Jack and I will have final sayso over this. No one will be screwed out of their team, but we are going to make it clear that if you bid, you wil be expected to pay. Otherwise -- you lose the team and wil be disqualified from participating.
