hey guys,
hope you've all been staying healthy!
It has certainly been the strangest year among the 60+ I've been breathing right?

LA Doggers vs TBay Rays begin tonight!
FWIW...
My thoughts are...

NEUTRAL FIELD:
Advantage Dodgers... they've played there all week, it only makes sense their eyes should be better at 'picking up the ball' against the background at Globe Field.

Teams:
Rays have 3 very solid starting pitchers... and a solid variety of relievers.
Dodgers very similar... certainly not a weakness...
I see them mostly EVEN...

but on the hitting side, I gotta like the Dodgers... by a LOT.
Mookie, Cody, Seager, Turner, Max, Joc, et al

any of you that participates in Fantasy Baseball knows the Rays hitters go mostly undrafted year after year...
Exceptions would be later rd Brandon Lowe...Maybe.... very end rds maybe Zunino... Kiermaier maybe... nobody heard of Arozarena until a few wks ago.

How many of the Rays would YOU have in YOUR lineup if you could choose between the 2 teams...?
For ME, it'd be Arozarena... and that's about it offensively.Name someone other than Arozarena that you'd start..?

So, with that in mind... pitching pretty even... defense and speed about the same.. ADVANTAGE Dodger Bats!

DOGGERS in 5... maybe 6

Good Luck ALL!!!

Let me preface this with this is NOT a bash or looking for an argument, just stating facts.

If most professional sports games wound up the way they looked on paper Vegas would have been closing its doors long before Covid came to town.

Does what you wrote make complete sense? ABSOLUTELY!

But to me, the line is already fishy. LA's #1 starter vs the Rays #3 and everything you listed about each team's bats is true. Add the fact that this is practically the Dodgers home field at this point in the playoffs/series. Rays had to travel.

Salary comparison: Kershaw + Betts = $26,308,642

Rays entire team payroll = $28,773,481

Doesn't seem fair, does it?

So why is the game at -150?

I've seen weirder things happen. Anytime a team has this large of a discrepancy in payrolls I am always rooting for the doggie. That doesn't mean that they're going to win it but I don't think it will be a 4 game sweep either.

PLAY BALL!!!!!!!

One thing about watching WS games, when the games are within a run or two late, then every pitch creates drama.. every swing can change things...

You're right, IF everything went the way it looks like it should, we'd win a LOT more often :p
ya never know... there's plenty of 'anti-favorite' or 'anti-Kershaw' arguments to be made for sure.

In this weirdest of seasons... I'll go w/the Doggers to get the 32 yr monkey off their backs

Enjoy the games Keyser!
