As for thoughts.....Trigg was gassing in round 3, Gomi didn't look that good........that's what happens when ya don't fight. And for those that think Gomi is top 3 in the division, you are smoking crack. Also....huge superman punch by Hirota, big win for him. Oh and good job French...just give the guy your leg why don't cha....the dude had his leg for like 10 seconds and French made no attempt to get it out....then bam....it is over...nice job French nice job!

Oh and you don't want Gomi in the UFC....he is NOWHERE NEAR top 3 in the division....he is up there as most over-rated fighters around....he doesn't suck, but he is mostly hype. I can think of at least 5 lightweights that would smoke him.

I was also extremely unimpressed by Gomi in this event. Man, he put me to sleep.... and that is totally unlike Gomi. To me (up until recently) he was always one of the most exciting fighters around... never been the most talented..... but he used to be a joy to watch.

From what a lot of the fighters in Couture's camp said, Gomi is all about partying these days and not much on training.
just watched the damm(damn...lol)fight on youtube.....he was having his way with the japanese fighter and got caught with a wild left hook,the guy jumped on his back and choked him out......
