PHILADELPHIA HANDS DOWN......

The Flyer's inability to score & finally collapsing tonight to the 7th seed Senators after being predicted to represent the Eastern Conference in the Cup.

The Sixers and all of their injuries about to be eliminated by Boston

The Phillies and their pathetic bullpen...and we still have five more months of this crap

And finally the Eagles...first they let Trotter leave for nothing and now Buckhalter tears his acl in minicamp and is out the for the year.

There can not be a town in this country with worse luck than this. Is there?

 :(

hey myron,
I happen to love chicago, bears are good cubs did well last year the White sox are playing well, and the Hawks made the playoffs. The Italian Beef sandwiches more than make up for a little ole playoff loss. What about the hot dogs and pizza. what the hell is a matter with you Chicago is awesome. Best town in the states hands down.:D

5 bad things
1. Twins could be contracted
2. Vikings might move to another city
3.Timberwolves are about to go out in round 1 of playoffs for 6th straight year, never been to round 2 in franchise history.
4. What is Gopher football

2 things were hopeful for

1. Gopher basketball might be in NCAA tourney next year
2. Wild heading in right direction going into their 3rd year

Wouldn't say Seattle is the worst by any stretch, but historically speaking, we're pretty much as bad as anybody else.

M's went from totally stinking year in and year out to now being MLB's biggest fluke joke (in terms of winning a championship) on a yearly basis. And trust me, there is nothing fun about kicking butt in the regular season, only to have your asses handed to you in the playoffs!!!!

Sonics refuse to ever get a legit center and will do no better than barely squeak into the playoffs (AT BEST) for the forseeable future. Think we all saw what a joke they were/are today.

Seahawks have been pathetic for most of their existence. To them a *great* year is being 9-7 and just barely missing the playoffs  Don't even have a hockey team.

Don't be fooled by the M's (in terms of winning a world championship) NONE of these Seattle teams are even REMOTELY CLOSE to a title. :nono:

The reason that philly is far worse than all those other cities is that we have teams (phillies excluded) that are supposed to win....And what do they do they lose in the first round yet again..let key free agents go to division rivals...have key players not go to practice...By far the worst time in a lonfg time to be a philly sports fan......Glad i like the yankees:cool:

come to think of it, Houston might be right up there.....

playoff futility in the last few years for the Astros leads to a just below mediocre team now....

Rockets speak for themselves -- they are the kings of thugball......

we have an IHL team -- no NHL team yet we are the 4th largest city in the country

Rice and U of H athletics suck in football and basketball

Texans no doubt will be horrid

those are some bad bad teams

Lets see?.....Carolina Panthers 1-15 record and the Hornets are moving to N.O. The Hurricanes have gotten to the 2nd round of the playoffs but Raleigh is 3 hours from Charlotte.(I'll bet most of you didn't know that)
The only positive in Charlotte is that the Panthers signed John Fox away from my beloved Giants.

Charlotte is this years loser sports city!!!

Ya know Dr. Freeze I was thinking the same thing, I moved to Houston in 1996 from the SF Bay area (born and raised there). One thing I must say tho is that at least there are pro teams here, I guess I was spoiled growing up, NFL, MLB and NBA teams within 30 miles of the house, with the inception of the sharks that added NHL 60 miles away. Now that the Texans are here @ least they are showing some NFL coverage in the local paper, news etc. Houston has been dry on the NFL since I have been here, what is worse; having pro teams that suck or no pro team at all?

Actually the worst city for sports in the world is Come By Chance Newfoundland. Aside from a ladies 5 pin bowling league there isn't much else there.

when your only championships come because of a retirement (Jordan)......and you are the 4th largest city in America, and your teams suck around the board this year, and you don't even have an NHL team, you qualify for the worst sports city in America....plus Houston is Dallas' bitch....and Houstonians hate that.....lol

I have a knack for living in bad sports towns. I moved from Cincy (Bengals, Reds (had a great team before the Griffey trade), and a couple of minor league teams to Atlanta with the Falcons (uhhh, what happened to the NFL in 1998?), the Hawks (Dominique needs to comeo out of retirement), and the Braves (did anyone on the staff not see that Maddox, Galvine, and Smoltz would not live forever).

Freak mentioned the Soccer team--well the Atlanta Beat finished pretty well last year, but we will leave them out to save face for them.

So my number 1 & 2 are Cincy and Atlanta. Fortunately, I get to cheer for both of these awful sports cities.

yeah but you're neglecting the fact that your teams win in the regular season in order to get to the playoffs. What bout those teams that are basement dwellers with no chance to get into playoffs
