In somewhat related news, when the 27 players started today, we had 3 Canadians, 2 Danes, 1 Swede, 1 Russian, 1 Romanian, 1 Brit and 18 U.S. Americans left. Draw your own conclusions about how ****ing awesome U.S. America is from that.

Kansas City area for who knows how long....
Later in the day after Lisa got knocked outta tourney, dunclock and her met up with Jack and me at the Beatles themed "Revolution Lounge" at the Mirage. Here's a pic of us there....As I've said before, I don't understand how all these gamblers get such nice lookin' gals....Lisa was on the cusp of another pay level in the tourney, but told dunclock not to reveal any of that to her at the time as she wanted to focus on her play only. She said "I made some mistakes, and I'll learn from them" for next year. She'll then be even more dangerous a player!

Plan on writing one up tomorrow!

And FYI, she is PISSED at you Bob for that cut and paste job you did from wickedchops :mj07:

She kept saying, you tell that guy..... and I was like, listen, he just copied and pasted from another site, one of those young punks that think all women walked out of magazines.... and she kept saying, well you tell that guy.......:mj07:

She finally calmed down when I showed her you were one of the good guys that were railing for her and actually PLAYED in the series:00hour

Please point her to the fact that I posted

"Don't really think she's getting enough credit."

before I copied and pasted what Wickedchops wrote. If a poker blog wrote about me, they could call me a chubby, limp fairy and it wouldn't bother me at all, let alone if they said I was "doable"

and the link where I said she should have done something different with her hair had a blank picture when I posted it - now that she's famous, it's no longer blank.

Obviously, she looks fantastic

How much did she get for the Full Tilt gear? Is her check still in processing? :mj07:

Glad you had a good time and thank Lisa for giving me someone to root for past day one :)

She calmed down when I showed her all the other posts and thought that was the coolest thing that a bunch of folks she had never met were pulling for her from this site:00hour

The Full Tilt thing is ANOTHER story and I will write up about it in my recap:scared

Ok, what a couple of days!

Of course, I was doing like you nice folks and railing her but she was calling me between breaks. I told her Friday, if you make it thru today, I am flying out tomorrow. Well, she made it, I booked my flight at 1:30 am and flew out the next day. Get in at 4 and get into the center at 5 and immediately start watching her.

Mark Vos gets moved to her left right after I get there and he had 2.6 mil in chips and he hasnt colored up so his mountain of chips takes 15 minutes for him to stack and comes up right under his chin:mj07:

Right before the dinner break, she raises a hand, Vos comes over the top and she pushes allin. He had JJ and Lisa had AA and they hold up:00hour Dinner break is shortly after and we go to dinner with her having about 1.2 mil in chips now.

At dinner, I am asking her about the Full Tilt hat and shirt. To begin with, she HATES online poker:mj07: But Tilt came up to her and said they would pay her 15k if she gets to the feature or TV tables. Well, she is down now to only 2 women left in the event and EVERY hand she plays, the cameras are all over her. Must have filmed her 50 times.

She has a bad run after dinner and ends the night
with 581k in chips. Still hasnt heard anything else from Tilt. The girl that is next to me up on the rail happens to be an agent AND she lives with Dan Harrington. She also represents Johnny "****ing" Chan, Jeffrey LiSandro and many others. She asks me, what deal did Lisa get from Tilt or was it that BS deal "if you get to this table" deal? I told her the latter, and she said typical, but she shouldnt have done anything without a written deal GUARANTEEING her money. She said that with all the coverage she was getting, should have been 30-40k and if she gets further, over 100k.

she has a bad run after dinner break and finishes the night with 581k and is in 73rd place with 79 left. We go out and have a few drinks with a couple guys from her table and she goes to the room at 2:30 to rest for next day. My dumb ass decides to stay up and gamble some so Iproceed to lose a paycheck in the next 3 hours before giving up at 5:30.

we get up for breakfast the next morning and she is, fuk this shit, I gave them so much free coverage yesterday and they havent even called me or anything. So she rips their logos off the hat and shirt and wears them anyway. She had her strategy of making a move quick to try and double up to get back in the chips. She couldnt catch a hand for the longest, then a guy raises 3x blinds and she thought for the longest and just called. All the folks around me were asking, what you think she has, and I said either middle pair or AA for the trap. Flop comes A Q 4 and guy makes a good bet and she lays down. found out later she had 55. She folded like the next 20 hands so she was down to a little under 300k and blinds were 15k/30k with 4k antes. First position raises to 75 k and she looks down at JJ on the button. She pushes and first position guy has AA so it is:sadwave:

She got interviewed by ESPN twice, Card Player, Bluff Magazine and some British company. she gets her ticket and we go to the tournament cash in room. She won a little over 77k so she gets a check for 75k and the rest in cash. We go back to the room to leave her check and I pull up the MadJack thread and she was amazed at the folks pulling for her. Except for the copy/paste job that Bobby put from WickedChops:mj07:

She is like, lets go get a drink, so I call Jack and we meet him and Terry Ray at the Venetian. We hang out for a few drinks and decide to go gamble. Terry Ray is one of the nicest and most knowledgeable guys I have ever met. I thought that I been to a lot of places and was well traveled with my jobs, but this guy knows a lot about everything. And it IS NOT made up, he is a very humble guy and enjoyed his company immensely!

Well we proceed to catch a pretty good buzz and decide to play in the $160 buyin NLHE tourny at the Venetian at 8:scared

Jack gets put out in hand number 3 and I will let him explain that one but it was horrid. The poker bitch built her 4k starting stack up to 12k in no time. My third hand, I lose 2/3 of my stack with ak on a flop of AA6 when some donk had called my big raise with a6:scared Well, Lisa taps me on the shoulder later and said, I am out:mj07: So I am in hand when she does that with AJ that I raised 3x and folds all the way around the table til last guy and he pushes. I told him, dude, I am making a weak call so either going to double up or go hang with my friends. He had QQ, I missed and off we go:mj07: Although I did last longer than the two WSOP cash players :mj07:

I was like the character in Charlie Brown, Pig Pen, the little black cloud that follows him around every where. Didnt matter what game, what table, what limits, lost at every one. Was so bad, we were all playing at same blackjack table and they asked me to leave and then they all started winning. After losing my second paycheck, I decided to quit {much too late} and just hang out, drink and watch them.

W left there and went over to Mirage for a while and then went back to the Rio. I was done and walking to the room and Lisa calls me and says she just ran into Mark Vos and his girl fiend and they want to have a drink. So I come meet them. This guy is the epitome of the young cocky, pompous, know it all players, even tho he does have a WSOP bracelet. He drops two straight drinks on the floor shattering the glasses. His girl leaves him and he is trying hard to hit up Lisa. She blows him off and he is like, you gotta hook me up with someone else:mj07: so they find a couple of cute girls down the bar and she goes down and introduces him to them to get him away.

Well sitting next to these ladies is the tournament PR director and Steve Danneman. He is the guy that finished 2nd to Joe Hachem three years ago. Even a nicer guy in person than he came across on TV. We all hang out til around 5:30 again and go to our rooms.

My flight the next day is at 7 so I go have lunch and she doesnt want to eat so I go off to eat. Come back and she is hanging with PR director again and it is about time to head to the airport. She had booked the same flight but right as I was leaving, Steve calls her and asks her to go the Bellagio for a cash game:mj07: She says she will catch a cab or fly back the next day. She calls me at the airport and says she is saying another night:mj07: Havent heard from her since :142smilie

It was fun watching her from the rail and the feature table was right behind me. So every hand when there was a big one, I would pop back over and catch it. Matusow and Hellmuth were sitting right next to each other at feature table:00hour

Couple of big hands that will definitly be on TV....

Matusow goes all in preflop and folds around til one guy calls him that has him covered.

Flip the cards and Matusow has 5 10 off suit and dude has AK diamonds. Well Matusow catches a 5 and guy totally misses so Matusow doubles up. He stands up and starts dancing, shadow boxing and hollers out "I been waiting on that hand all day!"

Then right before the end of the night, I hear "Hellmuth raises to 400k"

So I po back over there and it folds around to this guy that pushes allin. Hellmuth goes into the tank for about 5 minutes and decides to fold. Dude turns over 4 10 off suit:mj07: The crowd goes nuts and Hellmuth goes ballistic. He stands up and says you people are a bunch of idiots, you are cheering for the worst poker player in history. He gets up and starts walking around, saying, these people dont ralize that I am the best poker player of all time, I have won 11 bracelets and they make this kind of play against me. Everyone watches too much TV and thinks they are a poker pro. Then he walks back over to the table, looks right at the guy and says "you sir are a fuking moron":scared It was announced that he was supposed to start the next day in the penalty box. Blinds were 15k/30k with 4k antes meaning it would have cost him 81k in penalty with his 720k stack. He appealed the penalty and they let him play:scared

What a bunch of BS just because of who he is and he ended up winning the first hand dealt. You CANNOT belligerently call someone a fuking moron, I don't care WHO you are:nono:

All in all, it was a blast to watch poker at this level. My girl did an amazing run and of course all she talked about was the mistakes she made. I kept saying that you played for 6 fuking days and look at all the people that you beat:scared She knocked out one bracelet winner, Mickey Appleton, doubled up from another late in tourny on Mark Vos and was the second last woman standing. She hates this saying, she says I am a poker player and sex should not matter:mj07:

Had a great time with Jack, it was awesome meeting Terry Ray and I will surely be back in the future either playing, railing or both:00hour

Living in the upper echelon of poker celebrity. :SIB

I like Vos' game - I especially like the fact that he says that he's only going to play for 5 years so that he can retire . . . . so he can relax.

Matasow's 10-5? Didn't see that hand. Can't believe he won with the Cantu :)

Also, I hope Jack wasn't the one who pushed you off the blackjack table - moves like that can cause kharma problems for a year.

I'd be interested in that! I usually see Vos playing a higher limit PLO, but sometimes, he gets on a 2/4 table and just pushes his whole stack. Essentially, 500 dollar coin flips. He also talks a lot of chit online for a "pro", lol! I knew he was a complete and absolute tool; now u have confirmed it.

I forgot to add this, and it shows just what POS Tilt and these other crook online sites are like.

RIGHT AFTER SHE GETS KNOCKED OUT, we are walking away from the convention center, she gets a text message from Tilt that says "Too bad you didnt wear our stuff today, you would have made the money we offered":scared

The slimey bastards NEVER even attempted to contact her again BEFORE play, and she wasnt at the feature or TV tables, and they had the nerve to send this message 5 minutes after she gets knocked out:nono:
