looks like they are trying to get people to play brown with this line...a pick...Brown went down to yale and won outright as an 11 point dog last week...the history may be a split is called for .and i think Yale will play much better than the last game...but think Brown got a chance to sweep it this year..

1.) BROWN..pick

cooz --

Can you explain to me why you think they're getting people to play Brown with this line? I'm sure you're right, I just don't understand.

FWIW the LVSC early line was Brown +2.

WELL MY RATIONALE SUPERBOOK IS SIMPLY THIS...IF PEOPLE LOOKED INTO THIS GAME AND SAW BROWN GO DOWN TO YALE AND WIN AS AN 11 POINT DOG...AND NOW THEY ARE HOME AT A PICK AGAINST THE VERY SAME TEAM..LOGICALLY I WOULD ASSUME THAT A MAJORITY OF PEOPLE WOULD SAY BROWN IS THE PICK...AND LAYING MAYBE 1 OR AT PICK AT HOME AGAINST A TEAM YOU JUST BEAT ON THE ROAD SEEMS LIKE THE ODDSMAKERS WOULD WANT PEOPLE TO TAKE BROWN...MAYBE IM WAY OFF ...BUT DOESNT THIS LINE SEEM A BIT ODD TO YOU ON THE SURFACE WITH A GAME BEING PLAYED ABOUT A WEEK BEFORE AND THE ROAD TEAM WON AS A BIG DOG AND NOW AT HOME LAYING NOTHING????....

I AM NOT SYAING MY ANALYSIS IS CORRECT OR UNREFUTABLE JUST MY ORIGINAL RATIONALE FOR MY COMMENT ABOVE ...AND IF THE LINE OPENED AT BROWN PLUS 2...THAT HAS TOO MAKE YOU GO HUH?????? ..EVEN MORE...BUT IT MUST HAVE CAME TO A PICK RATHER QUICKLY BECAUSE I SAW THIS LINE EARLY LAST NIGHT...

YOUR INPUT IS APPRECIATED AS ALWAYS...

Yale-Brown

Yale-Brown

two losing nights in a row for me....so beware

Play: Brown-pick

On paper Yale should win. But I have not seen any consistency with the Bulldogs this season. In fact, there have been individual games where Yale has looked like two completely different basketball teams in different halves.
I cannot back this team on the road tonight.......lost at Army....yes...............ARMY last week!
Something is wrong. I haven't put my finger on it yet. I have only seen them in person once this year, back in early December. However, my dad hos gone to each of the last two games and said they have played LISTLESS and UNINSPIRED basketball. And not much better before that. Not what I expected from a team that came into this season with such high hopes.
Until Yale proves to me that they are once again a cohesive and inspired basketball team, they should be a good fade.
And the fatal car accident off Exit 24 in Fairfield has no doubt had a toll on this team. Among those killed/injured were baseball and football players at Yale...and I would suspect friends (maybe close ones) of some of the hoopsters.
Brown has played much better basketball as of late, and were in complete control of the game last Saturday night in New Haven. Yale cut it to one point midway through the second half, but then Brown kicked it back into gear again.

Top Play: Brown-pick

I WOULD AGREE WITH YOU HAWKEYE...YALE WAS PROBABLY THINKING ABOUT MORE IMPORTANT THINGS AT THE TIME...IM JUST NOT CONVINCED THEY ARE ALL THE WAY BACK MENTALLY JUST YET...

THIS IS NOT A BIG PLAY FOR ME...TOO MANY GOOD ONES ON SAT..BUT THINK ITS WORTH A SHOT AT HOME AT A PICK...

I AGREE STAG...UNTIL THEY SHOW ME THEY ARE MENTALLY READY I PLAY AGAINST THEM....GOOD LUCK GUYS AND THANKS FOR YOUR INPUT....COOZ

Cooz -- thanks for your response. No question the line seems fishy. Just to clarify, it opened at Yale -2 in Vegas but at PK last nite offshore.

If you saw my write-up, I agree with you and Stag that Brown is the right side here.

Yale has never had any luck stopping Hunt and he's got a better cast around him this year than last.

I hear you guys in your point about the car accident, but Yale was playing poorly before that...in those games at St. Marys and Fairfield they just seems to give up down the stretch.

I don't know what it is...Gamboa out?...McHugh playing with a bad ankle? They just can't seem to get the ball inside and they are taking a bunch of wild 3 pointers. Definitely not the same team they were earlier in the year.

And that loss to Army? Pathetic. Army is ranked even lower than Columbia in Sagarin's power ratings.

I agree, until Yale can prove they're back, the best play is to fade them.
