Oh phuck! There it is!!!

:mj07:

In all fairness, BBC beat me to that one by a minute. :142smilie

I can understand the aerodynamics argument if you're, say, Lance Armstrong, but if you're just riding your bike to work or for recreation it seems a bit much.

I like playing hoops from time to time, but I don't wear goggles and elbow pads when I head down to the ol' court. Maybe I should though, I'm sure the other guys would find it quite intimidating.

Aerodynamics? Oh please don't come back with that! :mj07:

hey...none of those fancy french terms here,please...:nono: :grins:

heavens to murgatroyd !!...

i can`t believe how wrong you guys are on this one....you don`t understand that bicyclists are morally superior to lesser beings due to their status as cyclists (or, at least, cyclists at that given moment). ....

to show how superior they are, they deliberately shut down public roadways.....i especially love it when they ride side by side in faux bicycle racing team uni`s.....very impressive...

remember that by using their bicycles, they aren`t using evil fossil fuel propulsion systems(never mind the fossil fuels that had to be used in the process of creating their personal two-wheel transportation system)....

and what about spongy(and every other pizza delivery guy)?...time is money...

Is riding a bike on a busy road really the best way to keep your health:shrug: I mean one of the benifits of riding/owning a bike is its ability to go places cars will not. Why the hell would you take a practice that is used to improve your health, and turn it into something that could end your life:shrug: I cant speak for anyone else but I would never intentionally scrape you on the way by. Having said that, if I am trying to polish off a cold one and fire out a few texts on the way home I would suggest getting the hell out of the way.

certainly you are not one of those who even considers the notion of operating a vehicle weighing 2+ tons while consuming an alcoholic beverage AND have a electronic yak..yak..yak..instrument in you hand as well.

thank goodness we all know you better than that...

:D You are right I don't do that, but the point was that there are people that do and i'll be damned if I would be on a bike competing with them:sadwave:

I get mtn biking, but the guys wearing superhero costumes taking up the whole road are really asking for it.
Ride on a trail or your neighborhood, but to impede traffic is incredibly selfish.

Nick m, I'm on ur side. Share the road and make room for the cyclists and runners/walkers. I think the dicks who lay on their horn and scare the crap out of u r actually worse than the ones who won't give u adequate room.

I will say that I'm against biking and running on busy roads. Joker and I both almost had heaRt attacks coming home from the horseshoe one morning. There was a pack of about 5 idiot bikers on that busy road even before it was totally light outside! They were going the other way thank goodness, bc u could barely c them!! Joker calls that natural selection at work.

Ok to clairfy, I'm not on the road, I'm as far on the shoulder as possible. I'm not a crazy cyclist, I just ride here and there. Also, I prefer not to be by the road as I do not want to get scraped off the same road, but there are a few spots I have no choice. Anyways, when I get hit y'all can say I told u so. Guess I'll just buy a cement truck and lay a path where it's needed
