First Concert: AC/DC ... 1984 ... Spectrum in Philadelphia ... I was 12 years old and couldn't believe how loud it was.

Best Concert: Tool ... last saw them a few months ago at the First Union Center in Philly

Good Show: KISS ... went to see them on there supposed farewell tour this past year in Hershey. Music may be lacking but the old-farts can still put on a good show.

I can't remember that far back but you'll get a kick out of the
diversity of the possibilities......
Alice Cooper....Billion Dollar Baby Tour...Tulsa I believe
Sony and Cher....either T town or OKC???
Stealy Dan.....Joplin Mo.
Captain and Tenille....T town again
Three Dog Night....OKC or T town????
Can't remember which came first but Columbian pot was the going
thing back then but could get decent Mexican for 10$ bag and I'm
talking a FULL ounce..........
saw someone above comment on the WHO.......I saw them at
the Myraid (ms?) in OKC or Norman???.....around 74 or 75 and it
was one of the best i've ever seen....Pete Townsend looked like
he was jumping on a trampaline every time he stroked his g tar
and the laser lights were awesome to ALL the stoned in the
crowd...to bad you caught them on the tail end......
also....during that period in time I put gas in my 64 SS Impala for
19 cents a gallon, my buddy had a job loading beer in the local
Schlitz warehouse....breakers went home with US....and you could
buy a six pack for 99 cents.....I was 15~ and shooting 9 or 8 ball
for money at a 21 bar 5 minutes from our town....life was good
back in the late 60's and early 70's.........:)

It's a shame you never got to see the greatful dead, never one of my favorite bands, But what great shows. The atmosphere was awesome thousands of people just partying and dancing in the streets for hours before the show. It was more like a festival than a concert. You probably could not get away with that today but some great memories from back in the day (the ones i can remember..lol)

Concerts

Concerts

First Concert - 1990 8th Grade....Milli Vanilli at the Joe Louis Arena....what a disgrace....Young MC opened though and I loved his hit song Bust A Move!!!!

Best Show - 1995 Van Halen with Sammy at Pine Knob. Our Lady Peace (good Canadian band opened up for them and then Sammy and the boys took over and performed for 2 1/2 hrs. Great performers!!!

Biggest Show - 1991 U2 Zoo TV show Pontiac Silverdome! Over 60,000 people!! U2 also puts on a great show.

Last Concert- The Tragically Hip took over Pine Knob last summer and basically that part of the United States transformed into Canada for a couple of hours. Canadian flags all over the place as Canada's most popular rock band tore the house down in front of a bunch of Canadians from Windsor.

Next Concert - Taking my girlfriend to see Enrique Iglesias at the Fox Theatre in a couple of weeks. Should be filled with plenty of loud, teenage girls screaming and the like.

1st 'concert'was 3 days party:
Joe ****er
Lighthouse
Burton Cummings(with Randy Bachman)
John Kay -Steppenwolf (BORN TO BE WILD )
Joannie Mitchell
Iron Butterfly
Best EVER - Bruce Springstein and the E street Band .
In a bar in downtown Toronto in the early 70's before he got to be THE BOSS !!!!!
Last Concert: Korn , when my son was 9.Way too much for me these days. The 'pit' looked nuts,my kid wanted to go in ,but at 9 years old ,no way !!!
Still the same 'funny smell in the air' there was in the 60's..
Some things don't change - not a smoker myself, never saw the benefits of it,but some of my pals (late40's) still puffin' every day.Hey, whatever turns you on,I don't care if my pals still like it ,shit, why not make it legal, seems better than "boozed up" drivers on the road ...  See Joe ****er
Well, it is Joe ****er ( please see my thread regarding the ****er) He was with Leon Russell and 10 others = Joe ****er .. Maddogs and Englishmen,March 1970.
Why was this" altered" shall we say???? I must have missed something.
