5Dimes opened Kahn-485/+385 back. Freakin MGM-Mirage-Mandalay Bay has it lined Kahn -575/+425 back. Not too sure about any of this as I think Kahn deserves to be a 3-1 chalk. If there is any value it seems it would be with ole Zabby. Not to say I would bet on him as I lean toward the limey, FWIW.

khan ITD

quit job from judah

khan has the motor to grind down the feeble minded judah

I was telling a bud earlier I had to get to skipping and get down to the Strip to check this out. He was a huge boxing fan, not so much now, BUT, the first thing he says was that Judah was a "head case". Zab has shown some heart and has grown up some, so if any bet it would have to be a prop as I won't bet 5-1 on water being wet.

Seems you have a strong opinion on this. More than I can say. They haven't posted any props yet, but I like your analysis, and I just might go that route. More like a TKO; ref/corner stoppage. Zab supposedly opened a boxing gym in Vegas, and he lives out here, so they say.

if the odds are juicy enough for khan itd

i will head out to the desert

but tijuana better not tempt me

Well, perhaps I'll take a ride to the strip and check it out. I think Zabby has finally matured some and will subsequently fight smarter, but he, like Roy Jones, is really not getting better, just older.

my crystal ball shows zab fading when he realizes in the first round amir khan is as fast as a young gun prime offensive force like a young zab

STEAMROLL CITY

Was just watching highlights of Kahn/Maidana. Love how Kahn dropped Maidana with that left hook liver shot. Now Zab sometimes keeps his right hand low, and he has been known to move straight back. I don't see this one taking too long to heat up. Also Kahn survived the Maidana onslaught which was impressive. I think whomever gets careless will pay dearly. I like the Brit but 5-1 is a tough pill to swallow.

you going to this fight?

i highly doubt tj will have props

only straight wager and o/u

Might just go at that. Much easier ticket than Mayweather/Ortiz, and of course Pac-man!! Events Center is huge and I don't see them filling it. I guess I'll take one more trip week of the fight and if I see a Kahn inside the distance prop I'll advise forthwith. Zabby could play hide and seek for 12 rds. also. If Kahn can win on points I think he will be satisfied.

@ thongster; Kahn-Judah props

@ thongster; Kahn-Judah props

Next time I go down to Mandalay Bay will be to cash my Klitschko ticket. At that time I'll see what props might be posted. Will probably be week of fight.

Some thoughts on the trainers here...

Some thoughts on the trainers here...

Seems "sweet pea" Pernell Whitaker is in for Judah. Now Whitaker was a marvelous fighter; he is also a drug user, or was one. I think he is a little burnt. Sure, he knows the game, but between Zab's erratic behavior at times, and Pernell's scrambled brain, I'm not so sure. On the other side we have Roach and a very fresh, focused Khan. I like this combination much better. I think the line on Khan is double what it should be, but that's what's available. Only way Khan loses this fight is if he loses his composure. He is mature for his young age, and Roach is all business, and KNOWS how to plan for an opponent. Zab looks good early, until Khan wins going away down the stretch.

I don't expect a very juicy line on Kahn ITD

The O/U is 7.5 rounds @ -110's...so the books aren't exactly expecting this to go the distance. And since Kahn is a 5-1 fav they're expecting him to be the one doing the damage. I'd say Kahn ITD will be around -175, with Kahn by dec @ +125 or so

Just my opinion
